Role name and description

- The role requires demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing team. It requires close collaboration with various external consultants and build a close partnership. Proven capabilities of setting up Multi country Finance Operations, managing process, month end close, account reconciliation and financial reporting processes

Your key responsibilities

  • Meet Local Tax and statutory filing requirements involving input collation, verifying the calculations, addressing the issues to avoid any delay filing or penalty etc.
  • Review and analysis of direct and indirect tax returns including VAT, Annual Tax return, Withholding Tax etc.
  • Coordinate and ensure successful implementation of accounting changes due to change in tax or local business model with close collaboration with Technical and accounting team
  • Review the accuracy of cashflow forecast and Tax provision
  • Assist the management with the support related to Treasury and Banking activities like maintenance of Bank Guarantee, credit operations, collection activities, cash flow analysis, response to Bank queries, coordination with related parties etc
  • Assist and Review of periodic management reports, Balance Sheet reconciliation and providing business intelligence report
  • Manage statutory and internal audits from local tax authority or other government agencies including liaising and collaborating with relevant stakeholders, addressing, and resolving open issues identified
  • Fixed Asset and inventory support including Review of schedules like Fixed Asset Register to be shared with auditors and Tax authorities, physical verification, reclass of assets etc.
  • Proactive Stakeholder management
  • Provide end to end accounting support including Procure to pay, Record to report etc.
  • Meticulous adherence to the compliance calendar of client to ensure smooth closure of books of accounts, statutory reporting
  • To be the controller of the entity and ensure the accuracy of financial reports of entity or set of legal entities
  • Front ending client to provide exceptional client service on delivery
  • Own and maintain internal and external reporting dashboards to demonstrate progress of activities and status quo of multi country engagements
  • Willingness to challenge status quo processes and desire to implement process improvements by providing lean ideas, enforcing an environment with uncompromising controls and improve quality
  • Detailed review of accounts, schedules, and workings to testify the quality of deliverables, and assist in effectively implementing the internal review mechanism and Control process

Skills and attributes for success

  • Hands on experience in any of the ERP
  • Experience in managing overseas clients and statutory process
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong client and stakeholder management skills
  • Self motivated, aspirational, and result oriented.


To qualify for the role, you must have

  • B.COM/M.COM with at least 7 Years of experience
  • Chartered Accountant (CA/ACCA) or Cost Accountant CWA/Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with at least 3-5 years of post qualification work experience
  • Knowledge in IFRS is essential
  • Very good knowledge of Excel
  • Experience in a shared service centre
  • Candidates with proven capabilities of setting up Multi country Finance Operations, process management, month end close, account reconciliation and financial reporting processes


Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience in developing teams and ability to manage a team of experienced finance colleagues.
  • Proven track of working with leaders from across geographies and managing the deliverables under a fast changing expectations with accurate quality in a metrics environment.
  • Outlook towards increasing the productivity and resource utilization, and ability to effectively implement the process change with adequate engagement support.
  • Exposure on International assignments on F & A Transitions, Auditing, Consulting or other engagements is an added advantage for this role.
