Consultant – Entity Compliance and Governance

The EY Entity Compliance and Governance (ECG) team assists client legal departments with designing, implementing, and operating entity compliance and governance systems. The team ensures clients meet legislative and regulatory requirements and provides legal and administrative support and guidance to clients' boards of directors.
Your key responsibilities may include:
- Proactive support to engagement team with management of a portfolio of domestic and global multi-national companies.
- Providing corporate secretarial compliance support to external clients and internal EY stakeholders, ensuring that services are delivered to a high standard and within our commercial operating mode. This will include preparation and completion of statutory forms, minutes and resolutions, supporting legal documents and lodging documents with ASIC and related regulatory authorities. Through developing strong relationships with clients, you will be responsible for delivering technical support and governance and best practice advice.
- You will also have the opportunity to provide support to the global Subsidiary Management team, which will include project management support on large scale engagements. Applying your organisational and project management skills you will work across multiple projects and clients both autonomously and as a team member collaborating with our global network of resources.
What we’re looking for

- Tertiary qualifications with a legal, business or other relevant qualification such as the Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience providing corporate secretarial services in a legal firm/professional services firm/consulting organization with a good understanding of the Corporations Act 2001.
- Experience in providing transactional corporate secretarial support and board support including attending and minuting meetings, drafting board resolutions, registering new companies, branch offices and an understanding of the issues and requirements in respect of the same.
- Experience using Diligent/Blueprint Oneworld, CAS360, GEMS or similar corporate secretarial database and technology platforms.
