Your day to day

• Manage a team of frontend & mobile engineers, providing technical guidance, career development, and performance feedback
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to define requirements and implementation strategies
• Lead architecture discussions and system design for new compliance applications and features
• Review code, conduct technical design reviews, and ensure engineering standards are maintained
• Partner with compliance subject matter experts to translate regulatory requirements into technical solutions
• Facilitate agile ceremonies and ensure delivery timelines are met
• Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions to senior leadership and stakeholders
• Balance team resources across multiple projects and priorities

Technical Skills:

• Strong experience with modern frontend technologies including React, TypeScript, and Node.js
• Expertise in microservice architecture and system design principles
• Experience with module federation for scalable frontend applications
• Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
• Knowledge of frontend testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with API integration and RESTful services
• Plus point: Mobile development experience with Swift & Kotlin.

Leadership & Soft Skills:

• 5+ years of engineering management experience, 8+ years in software development
• Excellent stakeholder management abilities across technical and non-technical teams
• Strong project management skills with experience delivering complex projects
• Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
• Multi-cultural awareness and experience working with global teams
• Strategic thinking with ability to balance short-term delivery with long-term technical vision
• Passion for mentoring and developing engineering talent
• Strong business acumen with the ability to understand how technical decisions impact business outcomes

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 8+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5 years focused on frontend development
• 5+ years in team management role
• Experience in financial services or regulated industries preferred
