Your day to day
- Manage a team of frontend & mobile engineers, providing technical guidance, career development, and performance feedback
- Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to define requirements and implementation strategies
- Lead architecture discussions and system design for new compliance applications and features
- Review code, conduct technical design reviews, and ensure engineering standards are maintained
- Partner with compliance subject matter experts to translate regulatory requirements into technical solutions
- Facilitate agile ceremonies and ensure delivery timelines are met
- Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions to senior leadership and stakeholders
- Balance team resources across multiple projects and priorities
Technical Skills:
- Strong experience with modern frontend technologies including React, TypeScript, and Node.js
- Expertise in microservice architecture and system design principles
- Experience with module federation for scalable frontend applications
- Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
- Knowledge of frontend testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with API integration and RESTful services
- Plus point: Mobile development experience with Swift & Kotlin.
Leadership & Soft Skills:
- 5+ years of engineering management experience, 8+ years in software development
- Excellent stakeholder management abilities across technical and non-technical teams
- Strong project management skills with experience delivering complex projects
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
- Multi-cultural awareness and experience working with global teams
- Strategic thinking with ability to balance short-term delivery with long-term technical vision
- Passion for mentoring and developing engineering talent
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand how technical decisions impact business outcomes
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5 years focused on frontend development
- 5+ years in team management role
- Experience in financial services or regulated industries preferred
