Your key responsibilities
- Lead on all aspects of property maintenance, ensuring they are delivered through a structure of robust processes, procedures, and associated policies.
- Responsible for our continued compliance to legal and statutory obligations, and safe systems of work for all areas of responsibility extending to both project and day to day activity.
- Ensure Technical Services take account of best practice in environment and sustainability issues.
- Responsible for ensuring engineering excellence is at the forefront of the engineering delivery, through either processes or structured accountability.
- Responsible for the management and provision of technical services support to AWS/RES capital and/or revenue projects, where M&E input required.
- Ensure the provision of Technical Services to current and future acquisition offices.
- Overall budgetary responsibility, including development and implementation, for all Technical Services areas.
- Working within the senior management team, the position contributes to the development and implementation of organisational strategies, policies and practices. This position will also interact with key stakeholders in the business.
- Fully support the implementation and ongoing requirements of EY's ISO standards. Ensure all areas of Workplace are compliant with relevant policies and procedures, and where appropriate, actively contribute to continuous improvement programmes.
- Support Head of Workplace Operations in managing the UK Business Continuity Plan – and implementing when/where appropriate.
Skills and attributes for success
- Relevant technical qualifications and degree in engineering subject.
- Extensive industry experience managing Technical services for a large partnership or financial institution of comparable size and complexity and within a regional and/or global environment.
To qualify for the role you must have
- Track record in all areas of Technical Services management including, but not limited to, preventative maintenance programmes, condition surveys, life cycle planning, quality, environmental, safety and health, managing programmes to time, budget and quality.
- Budget Planning & Management: Experience essential for preparing, reforecasting and reporting performance against capital and operating expense budgets.
- Understanding of statutory compliance within the Technical Services arena (eg, Health & Safety) and current legislation.
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.
