Job Title:Governance & Operating Strategy – Global Market Risk Senior Manager

Director

Responsibilities:

  • Works with senior management and other team members to maintain effectiveness of the Market Risk team in responding to operational demands, as well as supporting strategic priorities and delivering on regulatory deadlines.

  • General workflow management

  • Execution of EMEA governance routines

  • Support for Issues Management from a Market Risk Subject Matter Expertise (SME) perspective

  • Support for Market Risk Policies and Procedures from a Market Risk SME perspective

  • Drive strategic projects and priorities for the Market Risk team

  • Coordination of materials for consolidated reporting to meet both internal management and Regulatory requirements

  • Interaction with various support functions outside of Risk as required

What we are looking for:

  • Solid academic background, which may include a postgraduate qualification

  • Good people skills demonstrated across various communication styles (both written and verbal)

  • Knowledge of financial markets, ideally with solid understanding of Macroeconomics

  • Understanding of financial derivatives and modelling

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize across several competing demands, meeting tight deadlines

  • Previous experience as a Risk Manager working directly with the Front Line and performing risk analysis is desirable
