Supervising a multi-craft workforce and coordinating maintenance activities with operations, engineering, and others to ensure tasks are completed in a timely, efficient, and safe manner
Understanding and enforcing corporate and site policies and procedures, providing instruction to employees, and taking appropriate action as necessary
Supporting safety and quality programs by completing action items, audits, assessments, and other activities
Leading and/or participating in projects as assigned to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of Plant Engineering’s work delivery, while minimizing equipment downtime and maintenance costs
Willingness to work some weekends and to be on-call
This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Associate degree or technical diploma, or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
- Three (3) years of manufacturing or plant maintenance experience in a private, public, government or military environment
- Current, Valid Driver’s license
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
- Five (5) years of direct supervision experience within manufacturing or plant maintenance in a private, public, government or military environment
- Skills include proficiency with Maximo (CMMS/SAMS) or SAP-PM
- Two (2) years of experience with contractor work management processes, such as safety protocols and invoicing
