As our Senior Planner, you will provide strategic leadership for project schedule delivery, driving program success through proactive management. Your expertise will directly contribute to business risk management while strengthening Jacobs' client relationships and identifying growth opportunities in the transport sector.
You will be accountable for comprehensive program oversight—actively monitoring, managing, and reporting on project progress while identifying interfaces and mitigating schedule risks to maintain program integrity and delivery timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic development, management and ownership of the project schedule for complex infrastructure projects
- Delivery of insightful schedule performance reporting that enables effective decision-making
- Regular communication with senior leadership and clients on schedule status and forecasts
- Leadership of a scheduling team, providing mentorship and technical guidance
- Proactive monitoring of CPI/SPI metrics with rapid identification and resolution of delays
- Implementation of earned value methodologies to accurately track and report program development
- Critical path analysis and management to ensure program milestones are achieved
- Identification and management of dependencies between work packages and external inputs
- Proactively explore and challenge program issues to de-risk the project schedule
- Development and implementation of recovery strategies to maintain program objectives
- Baseline management and change control processes
- Application of design and construction expertise to create realistic, achievable schedules
- Provision of constructability and value engineering insights to optimise program delivery
