Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand tooling requirements and specifications. Drive Tooling DFM, and engineering drawing feedback to design team.
Oversee the fabrication, testing, and validation of new tools and fixtures for manufacturing. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tooling, equipment, and part processing.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance tooling performance and efficiency. Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all tooling operations.
Maintain accurate documentation of tooling designs, modifications, and maintenance activities. Provide technical support and training to production teams.
Understanding and knowledge of tooling and MFG related equipment.
Essential Requirements
Deep expertise in metal stamping or injection molding, die casting and thixomolding process plus tooling related to each process. Expertise in laser texturing, RHCM technology (rapid heat and cool molding), and other related adjacent molding technologies
Strong knowledge of tooling design, materials, and manufacturing processes. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CREO) for reviewing designs.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to excel in environments with ambiguity.
Desirable Requirements
A minimum of 8+ years Tooling Engineer experience with Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent.
Experience with CNC machining and programming. Knowledge of manufacturing cosmetic components. Auditing Tool Manufacturer capabilities to company standards
This position requires travel to supplier or customer sites. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and equipment.
