Systems engineering is a cross-functional engineering discipline centered on an approach, mindset, and process. All activities that consider both the business and the technical needs of the customers with the goal of providing a quality product that meets user needs. The discipline executes a robust process of design, creation, and optimization of systems, consisting of identification and quantification of system requirements, creation of alternate system design concepts, performance of design trade studies, selection and implementation of the best designs and verification that the design is properly integrated and executed. This process spans from concept to production and operation. The Lead System Designer has the responsibility to design and develop industry leading CT Scanner by delivering customer workflow, feature functionality, product quality, reliability, serviceability, manufacturability, regulatory, compliance, and cost. Activities include CT feature and clinical application development and prototyping, requirements definition and flow down, system architecture design and analysis, software components integration with hardware, modeling, FMEA development, developing &executing system verification and validation test procedures, reliability testing and reporting and supporting the problem solving and development solutions for manufacturing and customers issues.
