Role Description:
As part of our journey toward an API-led architecture, you’ll contribute to creating scalable and maintainable integration solutions that support our global people tech ecosystem.
Key Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Design, build, and support integrations in Workday using EIBs, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, and Workday Web Services (WWS).
Develop and manage integration flows on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform to support secure, real-time and batch-based data exchange between Workday and other platforms.
Own the full lifecycle of Workday HR integrations – from gathering and analyzing business requirements, contributing to RFP processes, and defining integration strategy, through to solution design, development oversight, testing, deployment, and transition to BAU.
Act as the single point of accountability for integration projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality outcomes, and alignment with business objectives while coordinating across HR, IT, and external vendors.
Champion integration governance and standards, proactively identifying opportunities for process improvement and ensuring solutions remain scalable, secure, and maintainable in the BAU environment.
Support larger Workday projects and releases by ensuring integration compatibility and stability.
Contribute to the ongoing enhancement and documentation of our integration landscape in line with API-led principles; monitor and troubleshoot integration errors and work with relevant teams to resolve issues and improve performance.
Qualifications & Skills:
6+ years of hands-on experience with Workday integrations, including Workday Studio, Core Connectors, and EIBs.
2+ years of hands-on experience with MuleSoft, particularly building and deploying APIs or integration flows via Anypoint Studio.
Workday Integration Certification (e.g., Core Connector, Studio) is required.
Working knowledge of web service technologies (SOAP, REST), XML, JSON, and OAuth2.
Understanding of Workday’s data model, business processes, and security structure.
Exposure to API-led connectivity concepts and interest in building reusable, scalable integrations.
Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
