Incyte Pharmaceuticals is seeking a highly motivated and talented Machine Learning Engineer to join our team. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will work on cutting-edge data and technology in the pharmaceutical industry, helping to develop innovative treatments for patients. You will be responsible for designing and implementing machine learning algorithms to analyze complex data sets and generate insights that drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement machine learning algorithms and models to analyze complex data sets and generate insights
- Work closely with data scientists, research scientists, and other cross-functional teams to identify and define business problems and develop analytical solutions
- Conduct data exploration, feature engineering, and data preprocessing to support machine learning models
- Develop and implement data-driven approaches to optimize drug development and clinical trial design
- Collaborate with software engineers to deploy machine learning models in production environments
- Stay current with the latest advances in machine learning and apply them to drug discovery and development
- Deploy machine learning models using cloud services such as AWS or Azure
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in machine learning engineering or a related field, with experience working in the pharmaceutical industry preferred
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Experience with machine learning algorithms, deep learning frameworks, and data visualization tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
- Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Experience with natural language processing, computer vision, or other advanced machine learning techniques
- Knowledge of drug development and clinical trial design
- Strong background in software engineering and experience with software development best practices
- Publications or presentations at Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Data Mining journals/conferences
