Job Title:Financial Control Associate


Corporate Title:Up to Assistant Vice President

An opportunity has become available for a Product Controller to join the Global Commodities BFC function within Chester. You will be joining a team of 23 who cover BFC responsibilities across core product lines covering Metals, Oil, Gas & Power and Index products.

The role will initially focus on one product line and core PnL controls and subsequently broaden product and market knowledge by moving across product lines within the group, and also focusing on different elements of the control function across valuation or analytical tasks.

The Role:

  • Perform Cash Reconciliation, FOBO reconciliation, Balance Sheet reconciliations

  • PnL Production / Explain

  • Perform PnL Substantiation

  • Perform Balance Sheet Substantiation

  • Perform valuation control routines (IPV, Pru Val, LVAs)

  • Ledger / period end control routines

  • Analysis and Reporting

What we look for?

  • Experience working as a Management Accountant, Financial Accountant or Product Controller

  • Financial markets knowledge and interest

  • Excel expertise / Managing large data sets

  • Ability to interpret dynamic systems and information flows

  • Solid written and verbal skills – ability to communicate at different levels

  • Accountancy or financial qualification (not essential)
