As an Operations - Rates Derivatives - Associate within Market Operations, you will mainly A) deal maintenance and drafting of confirmations of Japan based clients for rates derivatives trades (B) maintaining and publishing Mark to Market (MTM) as Client Valuation report to Asia Pacific clients and (C) prepare data for Legal Ledger and Regulatory Reporting for Rates Derivatives Trades. The team as a results covers a wide range of products from Flow Vanilla products to the more exotic and complex derivative products.The team is also actively involved in global projects to implement new systems and create globally consistent and cost-effective support model.

Job responsibilities

• Conduct Trade flow management
• Confirm drafting
• Monitor Events
• Create Client report (including client valuations) and Regulatory report
• Support Client on-boarding
• Execute business controls
• Validate MTM quality
• Send Statements
• Implement new procedures and system enhancements
• Liaise with local business, clients, and offshore support teams

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Team player with good interpersonal skills and ability to work with operations and technology
• Be involved in global as well as local projects aimed for supporting new business, striving for efficiency, and streamlining to increase team's capacity
• Well motivated, enthusiastic, and strong work ethic;
• Ability to work in a pressurized environment with tight deadlines to meet on a regular basis;
• Positive attitude in learning and towards changes
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Proficient programming skills as well as in MS applications (Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
• Promptness and accuracy, control focused, client focused
• Strong knowledge of Compliance / Regulation / Market
• Strong knowledge of OTC derivatives/ Bonds/ FX

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Fluent in English and Japanese (at least basic Japanese proficiency is preferred)
