Location: This is a Hybrid position in Canada. Candidates who live within commutable distance of Waterloo or Toronto are preferred. You will be required to be onsite from time to time as determined by the needs of the business.

About the role:

  • Work with large and diverse datasets to profile, clean, and transform data for analysis.

  • Build and refine data pipelines, ensuring data is structured and ready for analytical use.

  • Use SQL and Python for querying, transforming, and analyzing data from various sources.

  • Perform data profiling to understand data characteristics and uncover patterns and anomalies.

  • Support the development of customer 360° views by integrating data from various sources and creating relevant attributes.

  • Continuously explore and ask questions about the data to uncover new insights and drive better decision-making.

  • Maintain clear documentation of data transformation processes and methodologies.

About You:

  • inSQLfor complex data queries and data transformations.

  • Strong experience withPythonfor data manipulation, analysis, and pipeline development.

  • Hands-on experience working withlarge datasets, data profiling, and transforming raw data into structured formats.

  • Familiarity withDatabricksor other big data platforms is a plus.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a curiosity-driven approach to exploring data.

  • Ability to think critically and connect data insights to business metrics.

  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and incompletedata, andcan proactively seek solutions.

  • Knowledge of data science concepts (e.g., basic statistics, predictive modeling, recommendation systems).

  • Familiarity with cloud-based data infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.

  • Understanding ofAd Tech, Martech andcustomer analytics, especially in aCustomer360context is a plus.
