Description
- Work with system engineers and FW developers to understand the details of system design and FW implementation.- Work with system engineer, FW developer, integration, and test engineers to troubleshoot UE performance-related issues.- Design performance verification use cases & test cases to effectively identify potential UE performance issues and ensure overall UE performance.- Guide test script & automation engineer to implement defined performance test cases and make sure the developed test pipeline can meet expectations.- Guide test executors to perform validation of new and existing features.
Minimum Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of 4G/5G physical layer, protocol stack, and procedures.
- Proven work experience in 4G/5G development/system engineering/device performance verification.
- Good understanding of automation tools and scripting languages is required (hands-on experience with Python).
- Experience in investigating and troubleshooting cellular device performance issues.
- Strong analysis and debugging capabilities to be able to define issues and work with firmware development and systems design teams to close these issues.
- Deep understanding of software engineering principles, and core computer science fundamentals.
- Strong working knowledge of multiple 4G/5G signaling and physical layer test equipment (Keysight/Anritsu/R&S) along with their automation interfaces.
- English language proficiency is a requirement for this position
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master or higher degree in Communications Engineering, Computer/ Embedded System Engineering, or Electrical/Information Engineering with several years of working experience or PhD in a relevant field with some years of proven experience.
- Experience working with other scripting languages such as C/C++, Bash, or Java is a plus.
- A solid understanding of L2/L3/NAS and network performance optimization is a plus.
- Experience with network emulators, silicon prototyping, emulation systems, and virtual platforms is a plus.
