Job Description

As our Salesforce Developer you’ll play a vital role in delivering projects to improve and enhance the way our teams use Salesforce. Your main role will be to use your technical skillset to implement programmatic solutions for our new Salesforce.com (Sales & Service) Cloud based projects, with a particular focus on Apex, Lightning Web Components and integrations.

You are a Salesforce developer who has worked on Sales and Service Cloud projects. You have experience delivering programmatic solutions across user interface, background automation and integrations.

Your primary activities include (but are not limited to):

• Develop Apex (classes and triggers), Visualforce* (based on specific requirements) to extend Salesforce in order to support business requirements,

• Custom User Interface development, including Visualforce* pages/Lightning pages, Aura Components and LWC,
• Integrations: Use Salesforce APIs to integrate with other systems used by the organization,
• Best Practices: Adhere to Salesforce best practices, maintain code documentation, and write / maintain test classes for all custom development,
• Integrating and maintaining business applications to Salesforce,
• Collaborating with IT / Developers for other systems in order to integrate across the business,
• Supporting the Salesforce Administrators & the team

Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required

• Salesforce Sales, Service and Experience Cloud product knowledge and at least 3+ years of Salesforce development experience, understanding of standard Salesforce implementation processes including design patterns, release management, deployment strategies and testing,
• Able to work independently,
• Able to collaborate and communicate effectively with business stakeholders / other Salesforce team members,
• Certified Salesforce Platform App Builder, Salesforce Platform Developer I,
• Proficient with Salesforce development lifecycle and environment strategy,
• Experience implementing and developing in Apex and Lightning Web Components,
• Experience and understanding of Salesforce SOAP and REST APIs,
• General web development experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript,
• A proactive attitude to Salesforce enhancements and bringing existing code into best practices,
• Ability to write, interpret, and critique technical specifications,
• Experience working with large data sets and bulkification,
• Able to gather requirements, present and communicate solutions to stakeholders,
• Able to create and maintain clear, concise and comprehensive technical documentation,
• Able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and contribute to a positive team environment

Desirable

• Additional Salesforce certifications e.g. Certified Salesforce Administrator, Platform Developer II, JavaScript Developer I,
• Bachelor’s/Postgraduate degree, professional qualification, or relevant experience,
• Competency in other languages / development (XML, Flex, JavaScript, .NET, SQL, C++, SOAP-based web services,
• Demonstrates continued personal/professional development,
• Active in the Salesforce community
