We are seeking a motivated and creative Product Developer to join our mainframe team. This early-career position is ideal for someone who is passionate about innovative problem-solving and eager to apply design thinking to address complex technology challenges for large organizations. The role involves gaining a solid understanding of the mainframe product domain, working within the Agile software development framework, and engaging in all stages of product development and maintenance. You will be responsible for managing a diverse workload that includes developing new features and maintaining existing products.

• Implementing user-centered design solutions that deliver value and improve experiences to millions of users.
• Employing innovative and effective strategies to add customer requested functionality to our software.

• Analyzing customer issues using a variety of methods including BMC debugging tools.
• Working closely with cross-functional/multi-disciplinary teams including developers, quality analysts and product managers to iteratively design and develop solutions for our products.
• Enhance and expand your technical and interpersonal skills.

To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:

• 1 to 3 years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining mainframe applications in an IBM z/OS environment.
• Proficiency in z/OS Assembler, JCL, VSAM, JES2/3, SDSF, and ISPF.
• Strong diagnostic, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of z Enterprise Architecture and z/OS internals.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology and use of Jira is beneficial.
• Experience writing documentation for developed applications and features.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both collaboratively in a team environment and independently.
• A solid understanding of the software development process.
• Proficiency in IBM mainframe C would be beneficial but not essential.
