Manager – Finance Consulting

As a Manager in our Canberra consulting finance team, you will be responsible for delivery of successful and quality consulting projects related to financial management, strategy and operations. You will also have an important role in client relationships, business development and team leadership.

- A relevant Degree or Qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business, Commerce, or related field.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience.
- Preferably hold a professional qualification in CA, CPA, or similar.
- Must hold or be able to apply for government security clearance.
- Significant experience in a finance and operating performance environment, either in consulting or in the government and public sector industry
- Supporting finance function transformation and change (covering areas such as strategy, process, people, technology, and data)
- Provide services and insights related to performance-based financial reporting, budgetary & cost management tool systems and forecasting cycles. In addition, providing advice on strategic financial governance, financial & risk management reporting to management with reports to assist in-decision making
- Experience in Finance Operating Model current state assessments, diagnostics and future state design and implementation. Including working in larger finance transformation programs e.g. ERP transformation, shared service centre redesign and broader operating model change programs
- Strong financial analysis and modelling, supporting to develop and implement financial strategies, cost transformation and improve client performance
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to provide insights on technology implementations (such as Microsoft, SAP, Blackline, Anaplan) and emerging technologies such as Robotic Process Automation, Machine Learning or AI and it’s impact on a finance function
- Strong project management experience, including stakeholder management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills enabling delivery of exceptional quality reporting.
