Required Qualifications:
  • Doctorate in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field AND 8+ years data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results)
    • OR Master's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field AND 10+ years data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results)
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field AND 12+ years data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results)
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of people management experience in data engineering, and data science.
  • Experience in designing and managing large-scale data pipelines, distributed systems, and data analytics solutions that support product development.
  • Hands-on proficiency with technologies such as Azure, SQL, PySpark, Python, C#, Hadoop, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Deep knowledge of AI ethics, data privacy, and compliance standards.
    Experience in product analytics, A/B testing, and using data to refine product experiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead high-impact projects and foster cross-team collaboration.
  • Experience in fleet/inventory management, telemetry, IoT, or similar domains is a plus.
  • 7+ years people-management experience.

Responsibilities
  • You will develop and implement data strategies aligned with Azure’s business goals and customer needs.
  • You will design and deploy real-time monitoring systems and dashboards to track product health, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.
  • You will establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) in collaboration with product and engineering teams to measure feature impact and business success.
  • You will ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry best practices while advocating for responsible AI implementation, data privacy, and security best practices.
  • You will leverage machine learning and predictive modeling to anticipate customer behaviors, feature adoption patterns, and market trends, enabling more effective product decision-making.
  • You will define success metrics, conduct A/B testing, and perform pre/post analyses for feature launches to ensure data-driven validation of product decisions.
