The Product

The essence of Kyma is to enrich Kubernetes with a set of features which allow users to quickly start developing cloud-native applications with the power of Kubernetes and combine them with both the cloud-native world of microservices and legacy monolithic systems in an opinionated way.

Our teams build Kyma from scratch, so you will have a real say in what Kyma architecture looks like and which technologies are used.

The Role

You will design new components in alignment with Kubernetes architecture and work with the ones that already are part of Kyma. You will write new code in Go and configure other Kubernetes components to build a final solution.

Every day you'll work with a new technologies, such as the CNCF Stack, Docker and work with cloud providers, such as SAP Converged Cloud, GCP, Azure and AWS.

We expect you will share your extensive knowledge with other team members by becoming a mentor and domain expert in some areas while will also provide you with access to rich mentorship to let you further build up your cloud mindset.

Role Requirements

You should also have:

• Proven experience of at least 5 years in writing clean and testable code
• Proven experience in development, deployment and orchestration of applications in cloud, Kubernetes is an advantage
• Good understanding of distributed and decoupled architectures, eventual consistency model
• Ability of solving complex problems by leveraging your broad experience (proven with examples) and extensive collaboration skills
• The ability to become a mentor/authority and a true leader for peers and team members
• The ability to lead and drive complex topics to closure
• Taking over responsibility of selected key components of the product
• Have a good English language skills
• Knowledge of tools facilitating team software development
• A willingness to provide product support via on-call duty
