As an Automotive Key Account Sales Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Managing and coaching key account sales team members to grow 3M business and relationships with the Tesla account
- Executing established sales process to increase sales and future opportunity pipeline
- Ensuring that opportunities are successfully translated from the design-in decisions to sourcing decisions and product sales at all locations globally and throughout the supply ecosystem
- Driving adoption of tools and initiatives to replicate successful opportunities from other customers to Tesla, gain competitive conversions, and win launch fix opportunities with 3M solutions
- Provide input to the strategic account commercial leader to the future account strategy
This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
- Seven (7) years or more of combined sales and/or automotive experience in a private, public, government or military environment
- Current, valid Driver’s License
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Master's degree in business, engineering or manufacturing from an accredited institution
- Five (5) years or more of automotive sales experience in a private, public, government or military environment
- Strong communication, leadership and coaching skills
- Experience with direct people management
- Demonstrated capability to effectively collaborate across cultures and geographies
- Experience with platform planning and proficiency with CRM systems
- Self-motivated and very comfortable working in automotive environments
- Ability to indirectly deliver sales results through a team and oriented to work within a highly matrixed internal and external organization
- Experience in long-term selling cycles to large, global, complex, multi-disciplined key accounts
