The Role:

As an IT System Engineer Principle, you'll play a crucial role in designing, developing, and enhancing the corporate tax solutions by using the latest up-to-date technologies. Join us in creating scalable, robust software to meet evolving business needs.

What you bring:

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable and decoupled software solutions, ensuring high performance and reliability in an integrated cloud environment (public and private), incorporating the latest technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into cloud-based solutions, incorporating latest top SAP solutions.
• Drive cloud-based system architecture efforts, aligning with industry best practices and integrating top technologies.
• Conduct regular code reviews, maintaining code quality, and mentoring team members in engineering and architecture practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of professional work experience as a Software Engineer with a focus on SAP solutions.
• Programming experience in ABAP/ ABAP OO and another object-oriented programming language (as JavaScript and Python).
• Solid understanding of corporate tax business models (BEPS 2.0) and SAP solutions and related business processes, coupled with integration knowledge of SAP applications such as Financial Accounting, Tax Accounting and Reporting, Group Reporting, Performance and Profitability Management (PaPM) and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning, Embedded Analytics.
• Modelling in SAC Analytics, BW and / or Datasphere and PaPM knowledge is required.
• Knowledge of development in SAP Analytics environment, SAP Analytics planning being a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Fluent English language skills are mandatory, German language skills beneficial.

The Corporate Tax product team aims to provide highly automated and integrated solutions for our internal customer in Global Finance Functions thereby helping SAP to focus on financial goals and by securing compliance with legal and other requirements.
