In this role, you’ll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
Your Role and ResponsibilitiesAs a Quality Engineer, your technical skills will directly impact the quality of the software we create, and your recommendations and findings will help us make sure we’re delivering the best of the best. Come work in an agile environment where you will help each iteration reach the next level. Whether the testing is manual, automated, or cognitive, you hold a key role in releasing the best deliverables to our clients and IBM alike. In your role you may be responsible for:
- Building automated tests using tools such as Selenium, Protractor, Katalon, Cucumber, etc.
- Create test data and test environments
- Write and execute test scripts under the direction of a senior tester and test lead and identify errors and validate successes for any software solution
- Identify, understand, and document all programming errors and operational characteristics that are inconsistent with stated requirements and design specification goals for the given program, application or set of applications
- Do a deep-dive and present test results to clients and project teams clearly
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Load Runner experience
- LR/PC scripting and execution skills
- Experience in UI, API level scripting
- Ability to handle min 2-3 pjts concurrently and face client directly for req gathering/planning and executions
- DB skills writing simple query for read and write into Cassandra DB.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Preferred experience: knowledgeable on design, creation and execution of functional and/or non-functional test cases; experience with tool (or similar tools) such as: Confluence, JIRA, Selenium, Test Data Management Tools, Performance Testing Tools
- Exposure to at least one cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, IBM, or Google Cloud
- Familiarity with data quality analysis, and testing skills in API, ETL and SQL
- Exposure to basic data science concepts
