Our team, Cloud Foundation CNF, focuses on providing Cloud Native Services and Golden Path reuse capabilities for the BTP SaaS Foundation contributing to the BTP Golden Path on Kubernetes. As a Senior Developer within Cloud Foundation CNF, team you will be dealing with the full development cycle, from discussing requirements with our (internal) customers to detailed design and implementation, bug fixing and troubleshooting. In your role as Senior Developer, you will work closely with colleagues globally with the following activities.

• Work in a SCRUM team with a focus on ERP Products in Cloud technologies.

• Contribute to BTP based reuse services as part of Cloud Foundation.

• Explore open source and use latest SAP Technology stack (Business Technology Platform) to build Cloud Native Services at a fast pace.

• Contribute independently towards feature roadmap for the topics following SCRUM and Agile, SDOL, CI/CD, GitHub workflow. Be accountable for sub-topics in the team.

• Define architecture and detailed designs into implementation independently.

• Have excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, support team in development as necessary.
• Flexible to independently maintain existing code base, enhance implementation, independently explore implementation options, propose and finalize designs, develop new code, showcase work in internal and external forums.

• Flexible to work on multiple programming paradigms as per the team’s profile.

• Bring in high energy to work constructively, do self-planning, collaborate within team and interface across engineering teams.

• Have the zeal to implement solutions which help in improving, product standards, code quality, performance and reducing costs.
• Bring innovative ideas and solutions to contribute to the development of ERP Products in Cloud technologies, explore new technologies and methodologies to stay competitive.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related technical discipline.
• 7 to 9 years of extensive experience in full-stack development, with expertise in Open-Source Development.
• Proven experience with SCRUM and Agile Development practices.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide development teams.
• Ability to lead and drive initiatives within the team and across cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of Object Oriented Concepts, Micro Services, Design Patterns, Data Structures, Algorithms, Performance & memory management
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages – Java, TypeScript, Node.js, or JavaScript. Java Spring Boot experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of SAP Technology including BTP, CDS, CAP, SAP Fiori Elements, SAP UI5.
• Expertise in relational databases, with HANA knowledge as an advantage.
• Hands on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Deep understanding of cloud-native architecture, GIT, CI/CD pipelines, and performance tuning.
• Good understanding of Cloud Foundry, Kafka, ISTIO, ESOA.
