The Role is part of CFIL Market Ops Unit Head leading the Operations team supporting the CFIL Markets business and ensuring meeting stringent timelines for the various deliverables required. The unit is currently on a fast trajectory of digitization and automation thru disruptive technology to cater to the every dynamic market and regulatory landscape. The job requires a good understanding of CFIL Market Business Products like Debenture & Commercial Paper Issuances/Settlements, Loans Process and their regulatory framework.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure a seamless operation’s delivery platform for the Treasury Businesses, through timely and zero-defect transaction processing in the Unit while performing daily BAU
  • Assist the Desk head in meeting all regulatory, internal, client, audit and daily deliverables.
  • Partner with business in launching new products and enhancing customer experience on evolved products. Provide strategic and tactical support to business on day to day basis.
  • Monitor adherence to applicable regulations and Citi policies. Work closely with Risk & control functions to identify and timely highlight any risks / or exposure to Citi franchise due to any decision for change / or new practice and be agile in implementing the necessary actions. Ensure clean audits and successful regulatory reviews.
  • Interface with, and have cordial professional relationships with the various external and internal entities that are part of the transaction processing activity chain – such as the Dealers, Legal, Relationship Managers & Compliance
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Competencies:

  • Candidate should be a qualified Chartered Accountant or MBA from a premier institute
  • 8-12 years of operations management experience within market operations and Banking/NBFC industry
  • Experience of managing complex suite of market products and deep knowledge of product dynamics.
  • Experience of designing processes to launch new products and subject matter expertize in markets.
  • Knowledge of India regulations in markets domain. Experience of engaging with regulators.
  • Proven record of accomplishment of exceeding performance expectations and delivering results.
  • Knowledge and experience of managing crisis and contingency scenarios
  • Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting, or Finance, Chartered Accountant Preferred
