This is a key revenue generating position within the Trading Services team where you will work in a dynamic and market leading franchise with exposure to numerous client types including Sovereign Wealth Funds, Central Banks, Pension Funds, Insurance Companies and Asset Managers across the region.
Job responsibilities
- Develop and manage a strategic sales strategy for prospects
- Source leads and independently run with prospective client deals throughout the sales cycle; once mandates are won, remains as the key contact for commercial aspects of the relationship and partnering with relationship management teams to grow wallet share;
- Help maximize revenue with existing clients whilst building relationships with prospective clients
- Ensure in depth knowledge of client's activity and a broad understanding of the clients business & strategy.
- Contribute directly to revenue growth across client portfolio, measured against individual target to be reviewed on an annual basis.
- Ensure all relevant groups within the Securities Service business are fully aware of client agenda and requirements.
- Engage actively with key partners, including Product Management teams, Client Service, Onboarding, Corporate Bankers, and the global sales teams
- Map the existing client landscape – scoping wallet, market share, competitors and opportunities and developing relationships with prospects and existing clients;
- Lead the deal team for RFPs and bid processes and institutionalizing the pitch across the firm;
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Extensive experience in Financial Services particularly Agency Lending, Financing and Collateral Management.
- Knowledge of core Securities Services Products – Custody, FX, Fund Accounting, Derivative Services
- Extensive experience in Sales and/or Relationship Management roles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to convey key messages in RFP responses and presentations
- Ability to interface well with various levels of client organizations, including senior level COO, CFO, CEO or equivalent.
- Experience working with a range of client segments, eg. Pensions, Asset Owners, Banks
- Ability to navigate the Bank and work across other Lines of Business
- Attention to detail, effective time management and multi-tasking capability
- Ability to help identify innovative solutions to best serve customers and manage risk
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance/Economics or a related field
- Fluent written and spoken English and Mandarin
