This position is responsible for Risk Weighted Assets "RWA" finance transformation program management within the Capital Controllers Group, specifically focused on the derivatives RWA data operating model.
Key success factors will be this position’s ability to deliver on key milestones within the finance transformation efforts, establish trusted partner relationships with key stakeholders and effective expectation management through superior communication and metrics within the RWA workspace.
This position will report to the RWA Close & Operations Leader.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver best in class Program Management of the trading book RWA data model transformation
- Lead cross functional working groups to deliver on planning and execution of key milestones
- Manage workstream communications, prepare and present action oriented updates in senior management forums.
- Drive coordinated approach to workstream intra- and inter-dependencies across stakeholder groups
- Develop and effectively leverage project plans and metrics to coordinate, execute and track key activities and deliverables and monitor and continuously improve processes and systems.
- Build audit worthy artifacts supporting on time closure of transformation milestones
- Demonstrate extensive understanding of project and program management principles, methods, and techniques.
- Work closely with key partners to ensure alignment with strategic goals, robust status and expectation management including collaboration to remove roadblocks and optimize opportunities.
- Implement and align effective processes and controls to support a sustainable audit ready production process around RWA Reporting.
- Represent RWA Close & Operations communications and discussions with internal and external auditors, Independent Risk Review and Regulators where Derivative data and processes are discussed
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications – External
The ideal candidate will have 10+ year’s work experience in finance, accounting and / or risk. Experience managing large projects in complex operational environments. Solid team building and Leadership track record.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or similar discipline
- 10+ years of related work experience
- Must have US work authorization, this position is not sponsoring visas
- Exceptional communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Excel) skills required
- Strong track record of solving complex, large scale transformation
- Ability to understand Regulatory Reporting (Basel / Risk Weighted Assets strongly preferred) processes, including system data flows.
- Self-motivated with ability to make decisions and maintain a controlled environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours or on an Alternative Work Space (AWS) environment.
- Ability to multi-task, be proactive and goal-oriented.

- Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholder and execute on stakeholder management
- Excellent issue management and negotiation skills
- Strong interpersonal/communication skills (oral and written) and confidence to work with different levels of management.
Preferred but not required:
- Masters in Accounting or Economics; Certified Public Accountant or International Equivalent; Certified PMP.
- Previous experience with Lean Methodology / Six Sigma.
- Previous exposure to Prudential Reports, CCAR, Basel or Country Risk.
