Your key responsibilities
As an economist, you will deliver real-world solutions across a vast range of public and private engagements, including:
- Conducting economic assessments and modelling on the pressing issues facing businesses and government in Australia and around the world.
- Performing cutting-edge economic appraisals, including cost-benefit analysis and economic impact assessments to guide decision making.
- Providing policy, strategic and regulatory advice in key areas of the economy like energy, resources, trade, tax, human services and environment.
- Liaising directly with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
You will also support the growth of the business by developing new services, adopting new technology and analytical capabilities, and activating ideas to help our clients succeed in a dynamic economy.
Skills and attributes for success

- Degree qualified in a relevant discipline with over 3 years of experience.
- Proven experience in client-facing roles, with excellent report writing, communication, and presentation skills.
- For Managers, experience managing teams to scope and produce high-quality deliverables for clients, such as models and reports.
- Strong problem solving skills, with the ability to research issues and provide advice on policy, program guidelines, market trends, and industry practices.
- Experience in economic analysis, economic impact studies, econometrics, cost-benefit analysis, and/or economic policy, labour market assessment, and regulatory analysis.
