Job Description

As a Major Account Executive you will be a regional expert in account management sales. You will predominantly be managing existing accounts. Success will be clearly defined and there will be room for creativity to achieve your targets.

As a Major Account Executive- Account Management (Hunter role), you will be responsible for:

  • Partnering with sales engineers, internal support resources and channel partners to ensure consultative engagement with prospects
  • Recording customer development activities within a CRM to ensure operational excellence
  • Planning and executing on new customer acquisition within territory expertise
  • Familiar with local partner ecosystem, working with partner from leads sourcing to deal closure.
  • Communicating effectively with all levels of prospective buyers and internally at Akamai
  • Acting as primary, trusted point of contact to key customer stakeholders, building relationship and customer success
