The Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency, process improvement, and organizational transformation. The Operations Manager is responsible for driving efficiency, effectiveness and standardization and functions as aright handto the General Manager. With hatthe individual playsan important role in defining andexecuting strategy

Operational Excellence Leadership:

  • to improve productivity. Standardized ways of working are defined and maintained by aligning with peers from other countries and regions. Ensure that the region lives up to the adherence of the set standards.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement across departments and functions, leveraging data-driven insights and analytics.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure operational performance and drive continuous improvement efforts.
  • Own and/or supportkey business processby taking a leading and facilitating role ensure that the country/region lives up to critical KPI’s and commitments, such asforecast accuracyandfinancial planning. Amongst others,structure and coordinate the Supply &Operational Planning process (S&OP).
  • Ensure commercial connectivity to the regional and global organization & provide in-country data and insights.
  • Works with thePricing teamto establish price tactics and execution on the country level.
  • Align on local customer needs between the regional marketing manager and the product marketing managers. Drive process automation and digital transformation initiatives to streamline operations and enhance agility.
  • Stimulate adoption and utilization of (commercial) tools, so that these are used to their potential. Tools in scope are, amongst others, SalesForce.com and Vistex.
  • Work with the (global) Commercial Excellence team to voice the needs and requirements of the country/region.

Change Management and Transformation:

  • Lead change management initiatives to drive organizational transformation and adoption of new processes and technologies.
  • Engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization to communicate the vision for operational excellence and gain buy-in for transformation initiatives.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to cross-functional teams involved intransformation projects.
  • Define, coordinate, and facilitate training plans for the country/region organization, both skill and content based.
  • Works with the Sales team to embed Sales Academy skills and behaviors in daily activity.
  • Champion consistent deployment of commercial enablement tools and standard work practices.

Continuous Improvement Culture:

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across the organization, encouraging employees to identify and implement process enhancements.
  • Establish and facilitate forums for sharing best practices, lessons learned, and success stories related to operational excellence.
  • Focus on continuous improvement for the country, prioritizing issues to ensure the customer remains at the focus.

Performance Measurement and Reporting:

  • Analyse performance data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders to drive decision-making and action.
  • Liaises with relevant stakeholders to manage situations of stock out, (Allocation, conversion to other SKU’s, etc) (Sign-off by GM).
  • Pricing, competitor analysis ensuring customer needs are understood.

Key Requirements for success:

  • Proven experience in operational excellence, process improvement, and transformation leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of Lean principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving significant process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives from inception to completion.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire change at all levels of the organization.
  • Analytical mindsetwith the ability to leverage data and metrics to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Experience withSalesForce.com and/or Vistex is a plus.
