Your Role and Responsibilities- Develop budgets, forecasts, business plans, cost estimates, variance analysis or other related financial reports and analysis for local organizations, often responsible for consolidating similar reports for a larger unit/organization, i.e. summarize regional or business unit data.
- Provides analysis and interpretation of financial and business data, ultimately resulting in independently developed assessments and recommendations. Analysis encompasses both tactical and strategic periods. Understands and anticipates the relationships among plan, budget, or estimate assumptions and data points. Assignments can often require the development of nonstandard, creative formats and/or analysis.
- Use models, historical trends, and marketplace factors to estimate volumes, revenue, product cost, service cost, SG&A expense, development expense, headcount, inventory, capital, or other related financial data for tactical and strategic periods.
- Demonstrate business knowledge and experience when developing assessments and recommendations, i.e., awareness of customers, competition, business unit strategy, spending rate trends, rate structures, conflicting assumptions, etc.
- Identify problems and performance exposures, providing in-depth yet concise analysis of cause and alternative solution approaches.
- Keep organized records and maintain financial system data requirements, codes and tables for area of responsibility.
- Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 2- 3 years experience in Finance or Accounting field, and fresh graduates will be considered as well.
- Possesses advanced knowledge of desktop analytical, spreadsheet tools (MS Office – Word, Excel, Power Point) and be able to use them to construct in-depth performance analysis. Can draw conclusions and recommendations from diverse and not necessarily related data points.
- Able to write clear concise, and informative reports and messages. accurately exchanges data with peers and coordinators.
- Problem solving capability and decision-making skills. Able to present clear conclusions and recommendations supported with relevant data, whilst showing creativity in solutions when required.
- Open mind and be willing to embrace transformation and challenge as much of the reporting and requirements will be evolving.
- Works on special projects related to financial plans, budgets, and forecasts. is generally knowledgeable of a range of financial elements within the Income Statement and/or Balance Sheet. Responds to the project plans of team coordinators and field or division/group headquarters.
- Able to lead efforts to identify ways to maximize revenue and/or minimize costs, expenses, or assets within area of responsibility.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal – Japanese & English.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance related disciplines, or Accountancy/Finance certified Professionals (eg : ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CFA
