The activities of this position consist primarily of:

• Managing the monthly G/L accounting process for several EMEA entities.
• Completion of the statutory reporting activities including the preparation of annual financial statements and coordination with external auditors.
• Maintaining proper balance reconciliation of all G/L accounts and integrity of the financial accounts.
• Supervising the processing activities of our outsourced group of accountants in India.
• Confirming proper treatment and compliance of all accounting transactions and policies.
• Work with management in various departments, including tax, treasury, corporate accounting for proper consideration of corresponding transactions.
• Demonstrate a proven ability to manage projects, process improvements and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-focused results.

Experience and Relevant Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting. CPA / ACCA, CIMA is a plus.
• Strong technical accounting background.
• At least four years general ledger accounting experience is required
• Strong Excel and analytical approach.
• Proven experience driving process improvements and/or operational efficiencies.
• Strong organizational abilities.
• Great teammate and have ability to work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout Company organization.
• Hands-on experience in managing general ledger and reporting function.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including German GAAP (HGB) , International Accounting Standards (IFRS) , US GAAP and compliance experience.
• SAP Financial System experience, (SAP S4HANA highly desirable).
• Fluent in both English and German (spoken and written)
  
• Self-motivated, ability to work in a face-paced environment and cope with stress as well as tight deadlines.
