Your Career

The role involves simulating, automating, and developing proof-of-concepts for known threats and offensive tools to evaluate new feature security coverage and detection quality, aligned with the Kill Chain/MITRE ATT&CK Framework and real-world threats. We need an experienced Security Researcher with a deep background in offensive security concepts and a strong interest in Linux, Cloud, and macOS platforms.

You will conduct Linux security evaluations, research innovations to enhance our security solutions, and find innovative yet practical solutions to contemporary problems. You will also develop custom tools and advanced in-house security capabilities to continuously validate our product's defenses.

Your Impact

• Work hand-in-hand with the Cortex Agent release team. This role demands applied research synchronized with our delivery schedule, ensuring that every feature release is validated against the latest threats prior to launch.
• Drive our threat simulation automation strategy by researching and developing new tools and capabilities that emulate real-world adversary behavior.
• Enrich our Security Automation Coverage and infrastructure to protect against known and unknown threats.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, high-impact environment, mastering new security features, technologies, and complex platforms (from kernel to Kubernetes) quickly.
• Conduct hands-on research to identify real-world Malware, exploits, and novel attack vectors, then create and code PoCs to test our defenses.
• Act as a key research partner with engineering teams to push and validate our product capabilities.
• Leverage data-driven approaches to identify threats and propose effective mitigations.

Your Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in security research, offensive security, or security development.
• Strong, practical development skills (Python, C, Go, Git are advantages) for automating attack tools, building PoCs, and creating testing infrastructure.
• Extensive knowledge of Linux internals ("under the hood").
• Proven ability to adapt, learn quickly, and switch contexts between complex technical domains (e.g., from kernel research to cloud-native security).
• Experience with Linux eBPF and modern kernel technologies.
• Experience with Linux namespaces & cgroups.
• Familiarity with Managed and Unmanaged Kubernetes solutions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing fast-paced tasks and stressed time constraints while maintaining focus.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical leader for channel partners within the assigned region
• Collaborate with focus partners in the territory to develop comprehensive business plans that align to strategic objectives
• Provide technical pre-sales support to partners, including product presentations, demonstrations and solution architecture design
• Collaborate with your sales peers to identify opportunities for new partnerships and expand existing ones
• Plan and drive detailed technical training sessions for partners, ensuring they are proficient in the company’s products, solutions, and integration processes
• Support channel partners with technical issues during and after product implementation, acting as a liaison between them and the company's technical support teams
• Applies Business and Technical Acumen to design and deliver customized solutions based on partner and customer needs, ensuring alignment with company standards and best practices
• Stay updated on product roadmaps, new technologies, and industry trends to better assist partners in growing their business
• Assist in the development and deployment of channel enablement materials, such as technical guides, manuals, and webinars
• Collaborate with the product management and development teams to provide feedback on product improvements based on partner and customer feedback
• Drives results by maintaining detailed records of partner interactions, sales pipeline, and technical support provided, reporting progress to management regularly

Preferred Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Partner Solution Consulting, pre-sales engineering, or a similar technical role within the technology industry
• Skilled in at least one of the following Networking, Network Security, Cybersecurity, Private/Public Cloud Security, SOC/Endpoint or SASE
• Prior experience working with channel is required. Strong understanding of channel sales models and experience working with resellers, distributors, and other channel partners
• Previous experience selling, implementing, or managing SaaS offerings is strongly preferred
• Experience in complex sales involving long sales processes with multiple buying centers and multi-product solutions is preferred
• Prior experience architecting cybersecurity solutions that solve technical challenges and influence business initiatives is preferred
• Experience influencing and gaining buy-in from key stakeholders, either in a customer-facing or internal role
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical audiences
• Hands-on experience with product installations, configurations, and troubleshooting
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team, managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards resolving issues
• Willingness to travel within the assigned region to support partners and attend events as necessary
• Proven track record of influencing key stakeholders and gaining buy-in for technical solutions
• Proficient in English and Swedish
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent military experience

You will develop automation for computing systems and infrastructures for closed systems. You will assume full responsibility for the computing, operating systems, and infrastructures on our products, including procedures and automated unit testing / ATP, to allow transitioning our solutions to our suppliers, the production floor and eventually our customers.

What should you have?

• At least 3 years of experience as a Linux System Administrator, and experience in System or DevOps roles (Linux/Windows), preferably Ubuntu knowledge.
• Proficiency in Ansible and Linux shell scripting.
• Ability to design and implement complex automation procedures.
• Comprehensive understanding of Linux internals, including deployment, packaging and distribution methods, LVM, and security.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in both Linux and Windows environments.
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker / Kubernetes.
• B.A. / B.Sc. in Software Development / Engineering / Computer Science or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with Windows OS, PowerShell usage, and storage systems is a strong advantage.

• Design and implement innovative capabilities for a market leading product, deployed on a range of platforms from bare-metal to the cloud
