The Sr Manager, ESG Strategy & Support will act as a key strategic partner in leading and shaping the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) program at West. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • In depth collaboration with internal stakeholders to deliver, drive and execute on ESG goals including Climate strategy; Waste in operations; R&D for the environment; Responsible supply chain
  • Serve as the “go-to” ESG subject matter expert for assigned business functions, which may include operations, commercial, supply chain, and research & development projects.
  • Champion the creation and release of the annual ESG report, working with Communications and Data Collection and Reporting teams.
  • Drive the Science-Based Target Initiative (SBTi) strategy.
  • Ensure conformity to global ESG-related laws and regulations (voluntary and mandatory) reporting standards while spearheading program enhancements and monitoring ESG reporting best practices and evolving legislative/regulatory regimes.
  • Establish robust procedures and systems for dialogues with internal and external stakeholders concerning ESG issues, including assessment and development of ESG policies, processes, and systems where appropriate.

Role responsibilities:
  • Strategy Development: Develop the strategies for eBay to differentiate itself in the market. This will include crafting the strategies, developing the key initiatives to support the strategies and working closely with key eBay constituencies to gain consensus.
  • Project leadership: Independently, lead cross-functional projects involving executive and senior partners from various part of the organization.
  • Thought leadership: Develop content and topic expertise, as well as perspectives on issues important to eBay’s strategy. Structure problems. Develop creative solutions to challenging business problems
  • Strategy Mobilization: Work with the eBay line organization as needed to support mobilization and implementation of the business strategies.
  • Market and Competitive Analysis: Develop insightful market intelligence about key industry trends (technology, competitors, consumers, regulatory, etc.) and advise the organization of their strategic implications.
  • Business Analytics: Drive business judgment, market understanding, problem solving, and fact-based analysis to identify, prioritize, structure, and solve challenging business problems.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a driven strategy team in the development and execution of critical initiatives
  • Communication: Develop storylines for presentations, prepare and deliver presentations to senior leadership
  • Leading through uncertainty: Self-direct as well as manage resources on the strategy team and across the organization to deliver superior end-products in a dynamic industry and corporate environment

Qualifications
  • Proven leader with at least 10 years of work experience - at least 2-3 years at a top strategy consulting firm at project management level are a must
  • Bachelors Degree required, MBA or equivalent preferred
  • Expertise in technology, ideally in e-commerce, retail, payments, and/or consumer facing products is highly desirable

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
