

What you will do:
The Associate Account Solutions Architect orchestrates Red Hat’s overall technical approach for and with the customer across all phases of the customer lifecycle, from value definition to value recognition. Acts as the primary technical trusted advisor for both the customer and the Red Hat Sales team. Communicates the business value and relevance of our solutions to meet the customer's business needs.
Leads the technical sales conversation and assists in developing the strategy to position the Red Hat’s portfolio to meet customer business requirements.
Capture the customer’s desired business outcomes and align Red Hat products and technologies as the technical solution.
Assist customers with understanding how to implement and use Red Hat products through demonstrations, workshops, and discussions.
Develop integration plans, recommend system designs using Red Hat and partner products, and assist with system design and documentation.
Identifies and mitigates any technical sales issues.
Works closely with the Account Executive and Customer Success Executive to define and execute according to the strategy, and to coordinate the extended sales team.
What you will bring:
Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related role.
Must have three (3) years of experience with: working in software engineering, consulting, infrastructure management, sales engineering, or a solutions architecture role; Linux system administration; one or more virtualization or cloud providers; and giving technical presentations to small and large groups of business, technical, management, and leadership audiences.
Must have two (2) years of experience with: one or more public cloud providers including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or IBM Cloud, and their integration with enterprise customers; hyperscaler services; implementing and deploying Kubernetes and related CNCF landscape projects; and IT architecture management, including creating and following complex architecture implementation plans.
Domestic travel required up to 40% of the time to customer sites and internal and external conferences. Travel expenses covered by Red Hat, Inc.
The salary range for this position is $127,850.00 - $198,000.00 (inclusive of base pay + target incentive compensation). Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

What you will do
Design and develop features and bug fixes in Cluster API (https://github.com/kubernetes-sigs/cluster-api) , Cluster API providers and HyperShift (https://github.com/openshift/hypershift) .
Work with Quality Engineering on test plans for the code you create and with the Documentation team to ensure good coverage for the features and fixes you work on.
Participate in peer code reviews.
Participate in architectural discussions of system designs, programming interfaces, and inter-dependencies of control plane, operators, CI, Managed OpenShift, etc., both in upstream communities and the HyperShift project.
Collaborate with other engineering teams in Managed OpenShift and Core OpenShift for components that are managed by HyperShift in Hosted Control Planes and with engineering teams that build Hosted Control Planes support for different on premise platforms.
Troubleshoot, brainstorm, design and deliver Hosted Control Plane issues and fixes to important internal and external customers.
What you will bring
Understanding of Linux operating system and scripting languages
Knowledge of at least one of Go, Python, C, C++, Rust
Knowledge building and deploying container-based applications
Knowledge of Kubernetes / OpenShift architecture and familiarity with its internals
Understanding Kubernetes / OpenShift architecture and internals
Experience with development for public cloud services (mainly AWS and Azure)
Understanding of how Open Source and Free Software communities work
Experience with OpenShift in Bare Metal and Kubevirt
Linux networking and container networking knowledge
OpenShift Pipelines and/or Tekton knowledge.
