The employee will work alongside our local team and support senior-level engineers and project managers in performing the following tasks:

• Assist senior engineers on larger, complex projects, including task management.

• Maintain a positive attitude, are dependable, and meet assigned project deadlines.
• Effectively work with project teams with diverse technical skill sets and geographic locations
• Display strong communication and interpersonal skills and work in a fast-paced consulting environment.
• Collaborate on and contribute to maintaining and building strong client relationships.

• Assist junior, mid-level and senior-level engineers with the preparation of planning and design documents, reports, studies, and calculations.
• Serve as a field inspector/engineer for the construction management and oversite of projects.
• Prepare traffic and drainage models, engineering specifications, data sheets, sketches, drawings and perform calculations in support of engineering activities.
• Possess an outgoing and positive attitude, are dependable and meet all assigned project deadlines.

In this role you will provide drainage design for roadway and highway projects throughout Florida. Work at this level requires the ability to work in a team, collaborate, and keep pace with a fast-paced environment. Typical work assignments may include storm drainage analysis and design, cross drainage design, erosion and sediment control, temporary drainage, quantity and cost estimates, preparation of technical reports and memorandums, and preparation of construction plans, estimates, and specifications as required.

When you join us, you’ll work in a team environment with other project engineers on the detailed drainage design of urban and rural transportation projects. You’ll conduct storm drainage analysis and design per the requirements of the project and various transportation public agencies such as FDOT.

You will help drive the evaluation and ultimate incorporation of emerging technologies into our work while implementing Jacobs best practices developed over the past 40 years serving the drinking water industry. You will have the opportunity to work on award-winning projects within Florida, and ultimately globally, that use conventional and advanced treatment processes to treat conventional and alternative water supplies, as well as effectively remove emerging contaminants.  You will present your work to industry peers in industry magazines and at professional conferences.
