1. Develop and articulate comprehensive designs to all levels of management within the organization and obtain approval for proposed solutions.

2. Provide direction to Systems Analysts to gather, formulate, define and design efficient and effective solutions to the most complex business problems.

3. Provide thought-leadership for assigned projects and applications to developers, other system analysts, operations, and other Technology areas.

4. Analyze complex requirements, plan and design large-scale business applications, using techniques such as structured analysis, data modeling and information engineering, with the end goal of creating applications that are Easy, Simple, Fast, Safe, Secure and Stable.

5. Ensure user experience considerations are incorporated into solution requirements and design.

6. Provide team members and users with assistance solving the most complex application-related problems, such as malfunctions and difficult to identify program problems.

7. Utilize a risk-based approach in all duties to minimize deployment risks.

8. Develop, document and revise flow chart’s system design procedures, test procedures and quality standards.

9. Review and analyze applications, including performance results, to locate code problems.

11. Serve as project leaders for all sizes of systems projects.

12. Maintain an expert knowledge of testing documentation and execution skills.

13. Coordinate the installation of application enhancements/releases of net new applications of moderate complexity.

14. Expand or modify applications to serve new purposes or improve work flow.

15. Assess the usefulness of the most complex pre-developed application packages and adapt them to a user environment.

16. Maintain an expert business and operations knowledge of direct and associated clients in order to add value in analyzing complex and highly integrated projects.

17. Architect technical solutions to complex problems.

18. Research and debug complex technical problems.

19. Stay current with emerging technologies, their strengths and weaknesses and their application to business solutions.

20. Produce cost/benefit analysis for system improvements to support comparison of alternative solutions and provide recommendations.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology-related field, or equivalent education and related training

2. Ten years of experience and high proficiency with the following information technologies:

• Information security best practices

• IT performance/scalability principles

• Relational database technologies

• Principles of a service oriented architecture

• Mainframe, distributed, Web, and/or networking technologies

• Design tools and techniques

• Application development methodologies

• Technology testing and change implementation best practices

3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Provide leadership in managing multiple and/or large scale high-risk projects by facilitating project charter, vision/objectives, financials, scope, metrics, quality, schedule, resourcing, vendor management, dependencies, risks, status reporting, stakeholder engagement, business readiness/organizational change management, value realization necessary to deliver specified requirements, objectives and value.

2. Ensure smooth project progression by effectively defining/managing the project plan, phase gate reviews, change requests and stakeholder status reporting. Ensure documentation at all phases.

4. Manage projects throughout the project lifecycle. Evaluate progress and quality, manage issue resolution process and take corrective action, as necessary.

5. Ensure adherence to Risk and other Corporate policies and requirements.

6. Develop quality business relationships so that client needs can be anticipated and addressed.

7. Proactively develop innovative approaches, risk mitigation strategies and quality control and assist in continuous improvement.

8. Mentor, coach and set direction for team members and project managers/analysts. Provide feedback to group managers regarding the work performance of members.

2. Ten years of experience in increasing complex project management, including 8 years of applicable business experience inclusive of project management experience

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Enhance and maintain Cyber Third-Party Risk Management standard, policies and procedures.

• Work closely with Cyber risk partners and Third-Party Risk organizations to ensure cyber risks are properly tracked and reported.

• Perform Cyber Security third-party risk aggregation and root cause analysis by defining and implementing metrics to ensure appropriate measurement and reporting of risk exposure.

• Provide regular reporting on Cyber Security Third Party Risk Management and support leadership with risk prioritization and escalation.

• Ensure Cyber Security requirements/specifications are properly reflected and evaluated through the third-party risk assessment process and appropriate risk rating is assigned based on compensating controls and risk appetite.

• Analyze findings/deficiencies to ensure appropriate risk rating and risk treatment. Ensure appropriate SMEs are engaged in the decision making (risk acceptance/risk remediation). Escalate to leadership when critical issues are identified.

• Maintain current understanding of Cyber Security threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory developments impacting third-party risk.

• Understand Truist Cyber Security requirements, risk approach, and applicability to Truist Third Parties.

• Strengthen and sustain proactive risk culture through effective risk-focused management and partnership with risk partners/lines of defense.

• Serve as a subject matter expert and steward of the Cyber Third-Party Risk Framework (standard requirements, processes, risk criteria) to identify, report and mitigate cyber risks.

• Drive conversations for appropriate risk treatment with a deep understanding of the risk management processes.

• Deep understanding of SOC2 type 2 reports (scope/coverage, applicability, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or MBA and ten years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

• Banking or financial services experience.

• Experience working with Archer, KY3P and Security Scorecard.

• Deep understanding of the contracting process (contract negotiation/redlining) .

• CISSP Certification.

• Other security certifications: CISA, CRISC,

• Other technical certifications (e.g. CCNA, RHCE, MCSE, etc.).

• Certified Third-Party Risk Professional (CTPRP).
