1. Creating and publishing proprietary equity research content in designated industry with stock recommendations (Buy, Hold, Sell) to institutional buy-side clients.
2. Conduct due diligence and provide industry expertise for capital markets equity transactions and responsible for initiating C-suite corporate access resources to institutional equity clients.
3. Responsible for initiating C-suite corporate access resources to institutional equity clients including non- deal roadshows, conferences, field trips, bus tours, and conference calls.
4. Conduct independent industry assessments and company-specific research reports.

4. Conducts financial and valuation analyses.
5. Formulates investment ideas.
6. Writes draft research commentary.
7. Depending on experience and the needs of the individual analyst, may work closely with Capital Markets, sales, and trading to help leverage the analyst's research product into the institutional client base.
8. Depending on experience Analyst Program Participant and the needs of the individual senior analyst, may maintain active dialog with representatives of covered companies.

Required Qualifications:

Requirements
• Must have Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field plus 5 years of progressive experience in finance and/or investment banking positions performing/utilizing the following:
o Financial and accounting concepts to facilitate the creation of in-depth financial models and reports
o Developing technical analyses on the banking industry and economic outlook for using Platforms including: S&P Global Market Intelligence, Bloomberg, Moody’s, FactSet, Visible Alpha, Experian, Mortgage Bankers Association, and Inside Mortgage Finance, and CoStar
o Creating different types of financial models including: DDM, DCF, M&A (with full purchase accounting and other deal impacts), and sum-of-the-parts
o Utilizing Federal Reserve and industry databases including H8 (commercial banks assets and liabilities), G19 (consumer credit), Z1 (Fed flow funds), FRED, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac
o Application of financial and regulatory concepts including Basel III, CET1, RWA, TLAC, SLR, CECL, fair value and credit marks
o Strong understanding of the regulatory environment and key institutions including the FDIC, OCC, the Federal Reserve, FFIEC, and the NCUA and the implications they have on the operating environment for banks
o Various interest rates and yields and their applications in models and research content, including Fed Funds rates, Fed Funds futures, SOFR, Treasury yields, IG / Non-IG credit spreads, mortgage spreads, MBS spreads, and 2-10 spreads
• In the alternative, employer will accept an MBA or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field plus 3 years of experience in finance and/or investment banking positions performing/utilizing the aforementioned.
• Must have passed at least 1 of the following exams: SIE; 7 Top Off (or Series 7 if licensed prior to 2019); Series 63; Series 87; or Series 86 or FINRA waiver for those w/ completed CFA II license).
• The annual base salary for this position: $180,000 – 195,000
