The team is responsible for the development and support of the e-trading suite of applications for TD Securities, covering:

• Pricing
• Dealer-to-Dealer order execution
• Dealer-to-Client quoting solutions
• Automated/algo execution capabilities
• Risk management
• Straight Through Processing (STP) for trade execution
• Data pipelines, storage and analytics

Our applications utilize the latest low latency technology and DevOps approaches to deliver highly scalable technology solutions.

These applications are used globally by Front Office traders, quants, and enterprise risk systems – they are critical to TD’s client pricing and trading activities.

Position Overview

The Fixed Income eTrading Technology Team is looking for a software engineer in Singapore to support the Sales and Trading business, with the following responsibilities:

Essentials

• 5+ or years’ experience as a software engineer delivering Front Office pricing/trading/risk solutions
• Strong Core Java knowledge, JDK 8/17+
• Ability to work with sales/trading/quant teams on implementing pre-trade requirements
• Familiar with current dev-ops tools and best practices. Examples: Git/Bitbucket, JIRA, TeamCity, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, Artifactory
• Ability to develop high performance event-driven messaging systems
• Experience with enterprise level middleware. Examples: Solace, Tib RV/Faster Than Light, Aeron, Redis, Hazelcast
• Knowledge of fixed income products
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate clearly across all levels across the organization including technologists, quants, trading business leads
• Ability to work on multiple initiatives at the same time
• Comfortable working with distributed users and development teams across time zones

Desirable

• Experience with Low latency techniques, low or zero GC techniques and mindset
• Experience with KDB/Q

Responsibilities

• Working with LOB, Design and Architectural teams, support the migrate of legacy applications to modern authentication service platforms.

• Produce enterprise-level designs to meet business, application and security requirements.

• Manage change documentation and scheduling

• Ensure successful execution of IAM projects and solutions in collaboration with operations, information security, architecture, and project managers.

• Provide application support and troubleshooting for issues that cannot be resolved by tier one and two support.

• Create and maintain system documentation for IAM Services and affiliated technologies, including installation, configuration, and appropriate troubleshooting steps.

• Design and implement solutions to meet audit & compliance requirements.

• Provide technical consultation and assist the application teams in the use of IAM services.

• Provide training to junior engineers and operations team as required.

Technical & Professional Requirements

• Strong understanding of the Identity & Access Management (IAM) space and experience with multiple 3rd party IAM solutions.

• Working knowledge of industry standards & protocols including SAML, OpenID Connect, Oauth, LDAP, Kerberos, WS-Fed, etc.

• Experience with the following technologies:

  • Single Sign On, MFA, & Adaptive Risk-based authentication

  • Identity Federation

  • Authentication & Authorization for REST, Microservices, & SOAP

  • IAM integration with cloud providers like AWS/Azure/Google

  • Directory integration includingActive Directory, LDAP, Virtual Directories

  • Integration with provisioning & attestation systems

  • Java, Javascript, Python, and Unix/Linux Bash shell, and regex .

• Experience in scripting to automate tasks, configuration changes, data collection and user provisioning.

• Must have a working knowledge of LAN/WAN/Firewall/VPN network technologies, monitoring, and support best practices.

• Ability to provide expertise to application developers on best practices use of IAM technologies

• Good understanding of current regulatory environment and related implications to identity management, security and audit compliance

• Ability to balance working on multiple projects in fast-paced environment

Duties and Accountabilities

• Implement, manage, and optimize monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or equivalent.
• Support and maintain AutoSys and its components (AE, EEM, WCC).
• Develop automation solutions using Perl, Python, Shell, PowerShell, NodeJS, etc.
• Provide support for time-sensitive, complex application batches, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Collaborate effectively with technology partners to diagnose and resolve issues.
• Adhere to ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
• Communicate effectively with global teams, stakeholders, and business units.
• Manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
• Plan and execute periodic DR tests, user attestation & remediation of audit findings
• PerformBAU tasksas assigned time to time and/or provide afterhours support if required

Job Requirements

• The successful candidate must possess most of the following essential requirements with minimum 6-8 years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience on monitoring and observability tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of AutoSys or other job scheduling tools.
• Proficiency in automation scripting using Perl, Python, Shell, PowerShell, NodeJS.
• Solid understanding of database management (preferably MSSQL).
• Strong experience with Windows & Linux OS administration.
• Understanding of network and security systems fundamentals.
• Basic knowledge of Active Directory for system authentication and integration.
• Experience in Azure Cloud environments.
• Background in architecture design, system integration, and implementation.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills to resolve complex technical issues.
• Strong grasp of ITIL best practices in Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
• Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
• Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to work independently or in a team.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a high-pressure environment.
• Rotational weekend support for deployment, maintenance and support activities (if needed).
