What you'll do

Duration: 6 months + possible prolongation

As a Business Support Associate for Data Validation, you will work exclusively with SAP internal colleagues from Fulfillment, Provisioning, Sales & Customer Success to clarify and resolve data inconsistencies for cloud systems.

As a Business Support Associate, you work out of an automated ticketing system but may engage in consultations or email escalations.

Core tasks include:

  • Analyze data in the system to understand the current state of a customer’s tenant with accuracy, thoroughness and a high level of quality.
  • Initiate the appropriate action (e.g., reach-out, fast-track) in each case reviewed.
  • Communicate information and present options effectively to the Account Team to facilitate efficient and fast decision-making.

  2. Manages and motivates a team, from new hires to seasoned professionals, to meet sales goals while also improving/increasing sales readiness.
  3. Understand the importance of success as a team and coach and develop individuals to maximize each team member’s results.

Set individual performance expectations, objectives, standards and priorities, providing development opportunities and training, and recognizing achievement of revenue, profitability and customer satisfaction goals. Provide on-going feedback for development and growth of individual team members.

Drive Revenue and Grow the Business

  • Develop and execute a competitive sales business plan to drive consistent revenue streams and achieve market growth goals.
  • Drive and execute on the Budgets assigned, with a consistent operational excellence
  • Allocate appropriate resources and targets considering territory potential, coverage needs and channel capacity & capability; review resource allocation on a regular basis and adjust accordingly.
  • Conduct regular business review meetings, including forecast calls with senior management. Conduct quarterly business reviews and drive improvement across MU, Team, Region. Captures and shares best practices across the team, globally and regionally.
  • Review and manage the Pipeline management to ensure attainment of Commercial Sales business unit targets and performance goals.
  • Develop, drive and implement sales initiatives and campaigns with marketing and other stakeholders to accelerate pipeline build and revenue conversion.

Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain business relationship with key teams and partners within the country to drive strategic priorities of the team.
  • Inspire and influence internal and external stakeholders, experts and partners not under direct control, helping to remove obstacles and goal achievement, including the Executive Sponsorship of ‘Must-Win Deals’.
  • Ensure successful roll out of programs and offerings in key markets in close cooperation with SAP’s internal units, via partners and/or leveraging marketing events.

Deal Support

  • Support top deals / complex sales opportunities whenever high degrees of seniority, solution knowledge and knowledge of the overall strategy are required.

Experience & Educational Requirements

Mid-Market sales experience required, field sales experience is an advantage.

As a VT/STAR student, you will be responsible to:

  • Successfully complete an 18-month program that strengthens a foundation for a successful developer/researcher career at SAP.
  • Participate in experiential learning opportunities and acquire a wide variety of business, project and SAP solution skills while working with emerging and cutting-edge technologies.
  • Receive on-the-job training under the mentorship of a senior developer or researcher colleague to gain real business experience and acquire the skills.

The program will enrich your knowledge of SAP as well as give you the professional experience to be ready to serve our customers. Your official start date at SAP isJuly 7th, 2025and the total program period is 1 year 6 months. During your semester break, you will work full-time(40 hours per week) at SAP. During the semester, you will work on part-time (20 hours per week) or full-time at the company. You will be able to schedule your working time flexibly in accordance with your university schedule and the requirements of your department. You can apply for permanent positions after the completion of your studies and after half-completing this program (9 months), either in one of our business teams or in one of our graduate or Academy programs. If you get accepted, you can be converted into permanent employee by completing this program earlier than 18 months.

The program provides maximum support for internships through the university-operated field practicum program(), allowing you to earn university credit.
