We are planning a practical and immersive portion of our program, which will have participants spend between 4 and 6 weeks, spread across two trips, in San Ramon, California. This experience is designed to provide unparalleled hands-on learning and networking opportunities. *Please note that this is still in the planning phase, and the final decision will be confirmed by the first quarter of 2026. We will ensure that this information is communicated promptly and that sufficient time is provided for necessary preparations.

During intensive phases of the program, it is critical that all participants are fully engaged and present to ensure maximum learning and success. As such, vacation will not be approved during some critical times of the program.

Duration: 5-6 months

Through the internship, you will get to:

• Learn the cutting-edge technologies in multiexpeience platform and AI driven application development. For example, enterprise mobile services, cross-platform technology, cloud app development, Joule AI for code assistance, and Joule enabled mobile apps.
• Work with the team to create innovative features and implement defined functionality for the new SAP Enterprise AI enabled mobile apps-combined with Joule and Business AI across different platforms.
• Develop features for powerful enterprise-grade native mobile app with SAP Fiori, the new user experience (UX) for SAP software that applies modern design principles, and SAP Joule AI capabilities.
• Collaborate with development team members on best practices, code reviews, internal tools and process improvements
• Be a contributing member of Empowered Product Team (EPT) and with practice of homonized product operation model. - Experiment new ideas and create prototypes for innovations
• Learn homonized product operation model and process for product development and releases.

Skills Required:

• Basic knowledge of cloud computing, UX design

This Intern will be enrolled in activities of Project Management Office and will support to the Project Manager / Program Manager in the administrative activities.

What you’ll do:

In this role, as an Intern you’ll:

• Assist overall operation of daily functions for the LAC South Delivery Team.
• Administrative support of Client Portals.
• Manage various kinds of documentation.
• Interact with SAP Legal, HR teams, and clients to manage the high-low-maintenance processes of the personnel affected by each project.

THE ROLE:

You will be responsible to drive continuous improvement to increase operation, availability and efficiency. Infrastructure landscape re-architecture and new technology adoption is another important part. Global thinking and a strong customer focus are essential within the new Enterprise Cloud Services program.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong conceptual understanding & knowledge on the RDBMS products in the market
• Around 12+ years of work experience as Database Administrator in Global Operations team (primarily on SAP HANA and ASE Database Platforms, however any database technology is welcome)
• Exposure to the automation tools /scripting or processes
• DB installations and upgrade, Planning, setup and implementation.
• Providing technical expertise and support in optimizing and tuning of Systems. Performance Optimization.
• DB Concept on Security, Backup and recovery strategies, performance tuning, System Copies, high availability, and disaster recovery strategy, export-import, replication is must.
• Organize / Structure day2day documentation as needed.
• Willingness to take on-call duty/Weekend tasks during working hours. The on-call / on-shift duty is based on rotation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitoring and managing the database landscape in a large-scale Productive environments.
• Must have good knowledge of Policy, workflow, group, and clients for Configuring the backup.
• Ensuring Data Integrity aspects and determining the most suitable recovery technique.
• Ability to handle effectively and accurately the data recovery scenarios.
• Clear understanding of Point-In-Time (PIT) and full recovery techniques.
• Handle incidents around critical systems and ability to failover & failback as needed.

Cloud knowledge (e.g. experience of working in Public Cloud Domains like Microsoft Azure, AWS and GCP) is desirable but not essential. Good to have Professional Certification of Database Platforms with exposure to Project Management tasks including PMP and ITIL certification.

Education and Occupational Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology/Services, or a related field of study and six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology/Services, or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

Experience must involve four (4) years in the following:

• Administering SAP S/4HANA and SAP NetWeaver;

• Designing and implementing SAP Applications and Databases, focusing on high availability and disaster recovery concepts;

• Finding and fixing problems with load balancers;

• Analyzing S/4HANA data footprint, including server downsizing and upsizing;

• Integration between SAP SuccessFactors & Azure Active Directory;

• SAP Cloud Platform Identity Authentication; and

• SAP Cloud Platform Identity Provisioning Service.

Position does require up to 20% domestic travel to unanticipated customer sites nationwide to review customer technical landscape, new technical requirements, and any technical challenges.
