

Primary Job Responsibilities
Manages the development and application of a mature/dynamic multi-year customer account plan based on proven methodologies to manage a sustainable, long-term business portfolio. Leads strategies for the assigned account that high-volume sales and open new opportunities for both customer and Red Hat, aligned to goals, budgets, and forecasts.
Leads and coordinates a diverse team on plan execution and drives accountability to execute and deliver on account plans and grow the account, leveraging industry expertise.
Proactively expands the strategic network of key internal and external partners and decision makers, including vertical industry partners, to ensure execution of core tasks and account transactions, and to provide a comprehensive account management experience.
Demonstrates an understanding of the customer's business model to articulate growth opportunities, leveraging industry expertise to shape the ecosystem. Influences relevant (internal and external) stakeholders and resources to drive change on behalf of the customer and to enhance team capabilities, improve Red Hat offerings.
Required Skills
7+ years of experience working in IT sales with exceptional record

Good understanding of the companies and opportunities that exist within Japan
Good communication and technical skills to develop relationships at engineering, commercial, and executive levels throughout organizations
Good understanding of the enterprise market and partner ecosystem

Understanding of Container, Linux, and middleware software-related sales cycles is a plus
Experience selling open source software technology or other software services in a subscription model is a plus

What you will do
Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on software requirements and technical specifications.
Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing on Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization.
Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems.
Collaborate closely with developers to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on software design and implementation.
Automate test cases using Python and automation frameworks.

5+ years of experience in software quality engineering or testing.
Understanding of virtualization technologies and containerization.
Experience with test automation frameworks.
Proficiency in Python.
Basic knowledge of Bash.

What you will do
Work closely with engineering teams around the world to understand and implement improvements and fix product defects in existing releases of OpenShift Core Platform.
Follow the Kubernetes community and proactively implement important improvements from the project in our product.
Collaborate with our support organization and other product engineering teams to understand when changes are too risky and when they may be inappropriate for existing software release.
Help our support organization and customers understand what improvements are coming and when they will be available.

Extensive experience as a software developer, software engineer, or in a similar technical role
Extensive experience with TypeScript, including proficiency in modern frameworks and adherence to best practices; hands-on experience with React and YAML
Proficient in using Git for version control and collaboration
Solid understanding of release engineering and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes
Experience working with microservices architectures, containers, and cloud-native application development
Familiarity with various testing strategies and tiers, including unit tests; experience with integration and end-to-end tests is a plus
