1. Electronic, Electric or Telecommunication Engineer with at least 5 years’ Experience working in R&D and/or customer-facing environments with hands on focus in most of these domains:
   • VMware/Openstack/Container.
   • EVPN, VxLAN and Vswitch concepts.
   • ION IP product family, Switching and Routing and routing protocols as BGP, OSPF, IS-IS and other routing protocols, IP standard, routing protocols, OSI model, etc.
   • Layer 2 data communication protocols (Ethernet, VLANs, etc.).
   • Service Provider and MPLS Services (VPRN, VPLS, EVPN, etc.)
   • Use the following test equipment: OTDR, OSA, Optical Test Set, PDH test set (i.e.TBERD), Ethernet test equipment (i.e. JDSU, EXFO, etc.)
   • Know ION IP product family and al versions of VSR, SR Linux, IXR, 7x50, 7710, 7210 and 7705 will be a plus.
2. Good Communication in Spanish and English to negotiate case resolution.
3. Available to work during off-business hours (i.e., after 6 pm) and on-call rotation (On-call 24hrs / day for a predefined period at a time).
4. Available to travel on short notice (i.e., one day) for trips of short duration. Expected yearly travel is low (~5%).

As a Manufacturing & DFx Engineer, you are responsible for ensuring that the Design for Manufacturability requirements and program specific targets are taken into account in the new product development phase.

• Define DfM targets and collaborate with Design Engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure product designs are manufacturable and meet quality standards.
• Conduct process capability studies and implement process improvements
• Develop and maintain quality control plans and procedures
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities
• Support new product launches through the APQP process
• Monitor and analyze product quality data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Ensure compliance with quality management system requirements
• Drives best practices and lessons learned implementation in product design.
• DfM Lessons-to-Learn collection and utilization to new projects. Improve and maintain DfM expert and Requirements Engineering network.
• Create product specific BA/FA Production Process Description and production related documentation (FS, DCC etc.). Ensure DfM target realization by analyzing volume production performance and capacity.
• Provide support to production ramp-up phase..

• At least 6 years’ experience in PCBA Manufacturing process & Design for Manufacturing (DFx) processes and applications.
• Proven knowledge of the PCBA manufacturing processes, including Stencil design (Validation & revision), SMT Machine set up, Tooling design (Carriers, Boardholder, router), Thermal profile, routing, glue, Wave Solder.
• Proven knowledge of the APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) process, including FMEA, PPAP, control plans, and process capability studies.
• Demonstrated experience in Electronics manufacturing processes are required, including but not limited to: Surface Mount Technology manufacturing, Thermal Solder Reflow Process, Automated Optical Inspection & XRAY inspection
• The ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  With good working knowledge of Design for Manufacturing, DFM, APQP, FMEA, PPAP, GD&T, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC processes & tools.
• The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced R&D and manufacturing environment.
