You will contribute to Nike’s mission to produce the best footwear in the world by driving manufacturing and product excellence, as well as delivering the sustainable growth that will fuel our future. Ensure alignment with global engineering strategies while delivering impactful solutions at the local level. Landscape factory partners modernization solutions and catalyze actions to proliferate those solutions (optimize, automate, digitalize). Drive manufacturing improvement through capability building and evolved factory digital connectivity.
Collaborate with Manufacturing Systems Engineering teammates, Manufacturing Engineering, Factory partners and cross functional teams to drive initiatives, functional best practices, new tools and systems, and forums in support of delivering product, product excellence and elevating product quality.
Your typical day/week will include ensuring you’re focused on and progressing against clearly defined weekly and seasonal priorities. You’ll drive an annual calendar of engagement with Factory Partners to deliver results against immediate needs as well as long-term priorities.
WHAT YOU BRING
Ideally Bachelor's degree with a focus in Engineering, Business Management or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
8+ years relevant experience in one or more of the areas of Engineering, Product Development, Automation, Lean, Manufacturing, or Quality Management.
Experience in applying knowledge of Manufacturing Operations – systems, processes, technologies, and materials required to consistently produce finished goods to a measurable standard – to identify opportunities and drive progress against goals is preferred.
Capable in System Thinking – Thinks beyond the tactical and about manufacturing at the system level; Data Driven – Understands the use of data and application of statistical methods and tools, able to leverage data for fact-based decision making; Forward and Conceptual Thinking – Proactively seeks diversity of inputs and potential solutions; Consistently challenges the status quo and thinks beyond traditional solutions and approaches is a plus.
Demonstrated experience in working with multiple functions/stakeholders; Ability to network across a complex, matrixed environment, and utilize internal and external resources; Influencing skills & ability to collaborate and drive change with various external partners and cross-functional internal teams
Comfortable engaging with both external partners and internal stakeholders and building strong partnerships; Ability to maintain focus through ambiguity and change
Strong English written and verbal communication skills; Project and time management skills; commitment to delivering results, on time; Proficient in standard MS Office programs, business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Ability to travel 10%

YOU’LL WORK WITH
This role reports to the Materials Manufacturing Senior Manager. You will work collaboratively with external footwear material vendors and key internal partners across Materials Manufacturing, Development, Sourcing, Sustainability, and the broader Nike Materials Supply Chain (MatSC) organization.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
• Manage daily operations and performance with key footwear material vendors, ensuring targets for quality, cost, delivery, and sustainability are consistently met. Build and maintain strong relationships that foster accountability and enable continuous improvement on the ground.
• Support execution of seasonal priorities and vendor initiatives by collaborating with cross-functional teams across Materials Manufacturing, Sourcing, Planning, Material Development, Chemical Engineering and assoicate stakeholders. Drive alignment on key deliverables and proactively address challenges that may impact timelines or outcomes.
• Lead strategic conversations with partners to align on long-term capability development, sourcing strategy, innovation opportunities, and Nike’s evolving supply chain direction. Encourage a forward-looking mindset that balances short-term needs with future readiness. (Critical Chemical Vendors Focus)
• Monitor and communicate vendor risk, capacity, and performance trends using data-driven tools and reports. Translate insights into clear recommendations that support enterprise decision-making and strengthen Nike’s material supply base.
