Minimum Qualifications

Group/Division

The KLA Services team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. The KLA Services organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

- Perform preventative maintenance service in customer site

- Perform customer site troubleshooting to assist Customer Service Engineer

- Serve as customer contact on Technical and Service-related matter and escalate to CSE if needed

- Provide service support on urgent case

- Be services front line for understanding customer issue and transferring them to the CSE/CSM

- Responsible for daily data collection and basic recovery

- Build positive relationship with customers and increase customer satisfaction by resolving sophisticated requests and issues

- Develops and handles return materials authorization (RMA) processes for ensuring customer returns, exchanges, service and repairs are done with speed and accuracy and all client/customer service delivery issues are resolved

- Responsible for new tool move in Tasks, including un-crate/Tooling organizing/ Parts move in and out/ PIP 6S check

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a minimum of 1 - 2 years of related experience

  • Assist in the setup and basic assembly of systems, such as cable routing, module installation, and component alignment, following standard procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing materials and parts during the installation process, ensuring accurate tracking and proper storage.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with safety and cleanliness standards in cleanroom conditions.
  • Monitor and enforce safety protocols (EHS – Environmental, Health, and Safety) during installation activities to prevent violations and ensure a safe working environment.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Technical college or university degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field.

2. No prior experience required in semiconductor equipment installation; however, experience in equipment assembly, factory operations, or cleanroom environments is a strong advantage.

3. Basic understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes or equipment is preferred, especially in areas such as metrology or lithography.

4. Hands-on skills with mechanical tools and basic troubleshooting ability. Willingness to learn and follow technical procedures.

5. Good communication skills in Mandarin; basic English reading and comprehension ability is preferred for understanding manuals and safety guidelines.

6. Strong work ethic, with a positive attitude toward learning new technologies and supporting team operations.

7. High flexibility and adaptability to support installation activities, with up to 40% domestic travel required. Overseas travel is not required for this role.

8. Willingness to work a 6-day work week, depending on project schedules and installation demands.

  • Working directly with the local service teams to verify the KLA server performance is meeting spec, tools can successfully establish connection with the server
  • Reporting on the post install quality issues, that includes but is not limited to OOBQ, issues that impacted the CT and work with HQ teams to standardize the issues
  • Diagnosing and solving problems related to server installation as well as problems related to tool to servercommunication.
  • Gathering lessons learned that are based on the past server installations, channeling the lessons learned to product engineer with the aim of improving service documentation
  • Providing global support during product ramp, including early shippers/beta launches, and actively contributing to validation efforts aimed at identifying areas for improvement and fine-tuning the performance of our server products.
  • Delivering hands on training to local service teams and providing critical issue support to field teams, both during the development phase and after the release of our server products.
  • Taking ownership of small-scale projects related to server installations, leading them to successful completion within specified timelines, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
