Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, motors and other equipment related to the wastewater treatment processes.
• Lubricates equipment and checks for malfunctions; replaces packing in pumps or valves; replaces bearings in motors, pumps, and other equipment; tunes engines, sets valve clearance, cleans, and adjusts regulators
• Analyzes equipment failures to determine cause and to prevent recurrences
• Installs and sets up new equipment
• Performs quality control tasks following completion of maintenance projects and tasks.
• Inspects work competed by contractors to assure compliance with specs.
• Cleans out pipes and performs other plumbing and pipe fitting tasks as required
• Uses gas and/or arc welding equipment to heat, cut, braze, or weld
• Performs duties of electrician or painter in their absence
• Assists in keeping maintenance records
• Takes a leadership role in implementing the plants CMMS system and PM program.
• Prioritizes tasks on calendar and completes assigned work orders in a timely fashion.
• Communicates effectively at all levels regarding recommended maintenance and repair procedures
• Follows written and oral instructions
• Performs other duties as required

As a, you’ll perform a variety of tasks in the operation and maintenance of a water/wastewater treatment plant including maintenance of equipment, quality control/testing and day-to-day activities on an assigned shift. This position typically holds intermediate level water/wastewater treatment certification.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operates treatment facilities to control flow and processing of water/ wastewater, sludge, and effluent
• Monitors gauges, meters, and control panels
• Observes variations in operating conditions and interprets meter and gauge readings
• Operates valves and gates either manually or by remote control
• Trains junior Operations staff.
• Directs the work in the operation and minor maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant
• Starts and stops pump, engines, and generators to control and adjust flow and treatment processes
• Maintains shift log and records meter and gauge readings
• Collects samples and performs routine laboratory tests and analyses
• Performs routine maintenance functions and custodial duties
• Makes operating decisions in absence of supervisory personnel
• Understands and carries out oral and written directions
• Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with those contacted during the course of work
• Performs other duties as required

As anbased inyou’ll join a collaborative team and perform maintenance, repair and calibration on a variety of wastewater treatment plant equipment, instruments and control systems, to include mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. You will also be responsible for emergency response and troubleshooting on instruments, controls and SCADA systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Interprets and works from blueprints, drawings, sketches, plans and technical documents

• Perform Preventative and Corrective maintenance on instruments including flow meters, gas detection equipment and other in-line or portable instrumentation.

• Performs the calibration and repair of all flow metering devices

• Recommends control system modifications with documented justification that will result in standard utilization of parts and materials and will reduce operating and repair costs

• Establishes and enforces uniform electrical repair safety procedures at all plant sites

• Troubleshoot and repair programmable logic controllers, HMI’s and SCADA systems.

• Read and adjust PLC ladder logic.

• Troubleshoot computer networking and fiber optics

• Makes modifications to as-built electrical drawings based on system modifications and updates all electrical component equipment history files

• Establishes and maintains scheduled control system maintenance and calibration programs for plant equipment

• Directs the work of electrical subcontractors and all outside control system repair work

• Maintains record keeping associated with all electrical repairs and modifications

• Follows oral and written instructions

• Establishes and maintains cooperative relationship with those contacted during the course

• of work

• Performs maintenance tasks on equipment related to a wastewater treatment plant.

• Performs other duties as required

As a. You’ll oversee the development and completion of several construction projects and supervise the construction activities undertaken by contractors to ensure compliance with schedule, technical specifications, and quality and costs as stated in the contract documents.

Also, as part of the project team, you’ll:

• Guide inspection staff and assist with day-to-day construction management activities, including phased and final product acceptance, coordination meetings, and schedule and cost control.
• Observe daily construction activities and ensure thorough inspections of construction materials and workmanship, while also monitoring adjacent operations for safety measures.
• Maintain orderly files for all project-related documents. Leverage construction management software and tools to enhance project efficiency and accuracy.
• Organize and document inspections, reviews, and regular meetings with contractors, approval agencies, and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with contractors to develop and maintain a comprehensive CPM construction schedule and ensure the timely processing of submittals.
• Review contractors’ applications for payment and advise on prevailing wage requirements.
• Provide monthly project and status reports, including schedule and cost information, progress photos, and project issues.
• Evaluate and advise on construction issues, changes, and recommendations. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
• Participate in punch list preparation and final start-up procedures and coordinate cleaning and turnover by contractors.
