As a key member of our Project Management Team, you’ll perform client management / interfacing / updates / presentations at all levels of management. You’ll partner with Project Managers to ensure complete awareness of project cost, risks and provide alternative strategies for mitigation / opportunities. You will proactively monitor and communicate budget, actual status, and forecast costs/labor hours for projects. Using your expertise, you’ll create client and internal status reports that effectively communicate schedule status and identify critical path. Additionally, there will be opportunities to develop and maintain productive cross-discipline relationships within the project team.

The Scheduler position requires proficiency with Primavera 6 (P6) software to develop, update, and maintain project schedules for Utility-Major Programs as assigned. The scheduler is responsible for maintaining project schedules and assists the project manager by updating and monitoring each project P6 schedule, highlighting delays, providing visibility of upcoming milestones, and guidance for schedule management strategy. The Scheduler will update schedule information from the PMs as assigned.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop, report, and manage schedule data for portfolio of assigned projects
• Extract schedule information from reporting systems and analyzing data to report on status of the project
• Identify root cause of schedule variances and partner with the PCA to define future spending in justifiable terms
• Lead schedule re-baseline activities as needed with the Lead Scheduler and PM’s concurrence
• Participates in and may lead project level schedule review meetings
• Advise project manager of change orders with schedule impact
• Participates with management in development of strategies and plans
• Creates and updates P6 Schedules
• Quality control and quality assurance of project schedule
• Respond to all unifier workflow requests in a timely manner
• Validate contractors’ project schedule accuracy
• Liaison with contractors scheduling resources
• Actively participate in and identify scheduling process improvement initiatives

Complete cost estimating for energy projects, including, but not limited to, raw materials, general contract labor, equipment and subcontract work utilizing bottom-up and unit pricing.

Job Responsibilities

You will be responsible for any or all of the following:

• Supports the establishment of a baseline strategic approach to work plan execution. Runs regular reports from multiple data sources to analyze available resources and compare against resource demand by work category.

• Supports the development of contingency plans with stakeholders to assure work readiness if work and financial plans require adjustment.

• Highlights issues such as actual cost or resource data outside of plan. Determines how and where to obtain further information from systems or stakeholders to investigate and determine cause of variance. May independently reach out to stakeholders to explore performance variances and causes.

• Partners with peers and stakeholders to develop integrated work plans, project plan updates and presentation materials for regular work and budget meetings.

• Participates on special initiative project teams and, on occasion, may take on a team leadership role on specific projects.

• Presents findings and makes recommendations to function management

• May also perform some or all of the following responsibilities:

• Coordinates with peers and stakeholders in assigned work streams to develop a prioritized and optimized annual work plan, supported by a strategic, balanced annual resource plan.
• Tracks and reports on work progression, monitors execution of work plans and updates portfolios for short- and long-term planning.
• Ensures work plan is transparent and well communicated.
• Complete understanding of end to end process (workflow) knowledge of at least one work stream.
• Evaluates the associated costs and resources needed to execute work plans.
