We regularly work with geotechnical, highway, and hydraulic engineers so you will use your general understanding of those disciplines to coordinate project work. We’ll look to you to perform daily project administration and coordination for construction projects related to heavy transportation infrastructure. You will be responsible for leading the inspection staff including reviewing daily inspector reports, handling project correspondence and maintaining accurate records, producing estimates, assisting with the change order process, reviewing contractor payroll reports and EEO documents.

You should have considerable knowledge of NYSDOT highway, bridge, rail or facilities construction practices and procedures; have the ability to prepare correspondence, reports and recommendations concerning construction issues; have a demonstrated ability to deal effectively with others. In addition, you should have the ability to use applicable software and record keeping methods consistent with the requirements of Jacobs and our clients.

Your impact

Jacobs is seeking a, based in. As an operator you’ll work with project staff to perform maintenance of equipment and quality control testing. Partnering with other team members you’ll apply knowledge of the principles, methods and tools employed in the general operation of engines, pumps, valves, motors and related equipment, wastewater process control and safe work practices. You’ll also have the opportunity to: monitor, record and operate the wastewater treatment plant, recharge and SCADA system; diagnose operating problems, analyze recording instrument readings and laboratory test results and adjust various plant processes accordingly, perform plant inspections to determine efficiency of operations, cleanliness, and maintenance activities including remedial action in emergencies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Operates treatment facilities to control flow and processing of wastewater, sludge, and effluent

· Monitors gauges, meters, and control panels

· Observes variations in operating conditions and interprets meter and gauge readings

· Operates valves and gates either manually or by remote control

· Starts and stops pumps, engines, and generators to control and adjust flow and treatment processes

· Maintains shift log and records meter and gauge readings

· Collects samples and performs routine laboratory tests and analyses

· Performs routine maintenance functions and custodial duties

· Make operating decisions in absence of supervisory personnel

· Understands and carries out oral and written directions

· Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with those contacted during the course of work

· Performs other duties as required

You’ll support the development of Contract Documents for Construction; and lead, coordinate, and be responsible for a variety of tasks through completion. As an, you will be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and maintaining thenetwork infrastructure at one of our industrial sites. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our OT systems. You will partner with JacobsIndustrial Control Systems (ICS)teams to deliver communication networks that are optimized for reliable automation and business operations. In this role, you will also design scalable and reliable network infrastructure in greenfield and brownfield environments. You’ll leverage your understanding of network telecommunications, firewall, Windows OS, and TCP/IP protocols to engineer robust and secure networks of varying sizes and complexity.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with design, implementation, and maintenance of the operational technology (OT) network infrastructure. As a
Junior OT Network Engineer, this includes selecting and configuring network hardware and software, such as switches, routers, firewalls, and industrial protocols. You will be responsible for network security and providing monitoring and troubleshooting of performance issues and for resolving network-related problems to minimize downtime.

• This position sets up and maintains networking and control infrastructure in accordance with company standards and works with OT Network Management to provide solutions for maintenance and operations. This includes but is not limited to Process Control Infrastructure and Third Party Vendor Packages
• Create and maintain detailed network diagrams of the manufacturing industrial infrastructure, network, server, cabling, rack level, and logical architecture including procedures and plans to support current and future projects.
• Travel to project sites to provide support of ICS networks, manage and maintain converged platforms, virtualization, networks, security platforms and various other OT/IoT technologies
• Review of network architectures and determining if good practices are being followed and provided recommendations to comply with applicable cybersecurity framework for industrial environment controls

This typically includes the development and execution of contracts, oversight of other consultants and contractors to ensure consistent quality processes are met, assistance with construction oversight activities, and mentoring and training of project engineers.
• Support the client service and sales team to win new work through the development of solutions and leveraging existing and developing new client relationships.
• Lead and manage teams through all phases of project planning, execution, and closeout consistent with established project delivery processes to meet the scope, schedule, budget, and other specified requirements stated in the contract.
