We are looking for a self-driven and proactive

As part of a collaborative project team, you’ll play an active role by performing inspections and construction management assistance at various project site locations. Responsibilities will entail providing quality reviews, maintain documents of compliance and create contract requirements, review ongoing construction to determine compliance with construction documents and generally accepted standards of workmanship, and assist the Engineer In Charge with any building related paperwork. You’ll assist in planning required work activity to ensure that design drawings, tools, equipment, and materials are available when needed and a consistent onsite presence monitoring the activities of contractors and subcontractors performing craftwork to ensure QA/QC compliance and project quality, safety, and security requirements are achieved.

You’ll work with experienced engineers and inspectors to perform quality control inspection of the construction and rehabilitation of roads/bridges, general site work, maintenance and protection of traffic, drainage, earthwork, paving, reinforced concrete, utility relocation/coordination, and site safety in northern/central New Jersey. You’ll also be trained to read contract construction documents, perform testing of common construction materials, and prepare daily reports documenting the contractor’s operations. The training program includes off-site seminars and course work. The costs and fees for these courses will be reimbursable.

Responsibilities:

Analyze on site data provided by the contractor and project managers to dissect and project trends which is utilized to implement preventative actions and recovery steps through appropriate reporting channels. Work on and present technical proposals, presentations, client facing meeting for the purpose of acquiring additional programs associated with the client. Maintain all the required building information to submit for year-end reports and budget allocation of facilities and provided annual CRE reviews for executives and regional supervisors. Chair and conduct Initial Job Meetings, Bi-weekly Progress Meeting, Schedule Update Meetings, and On-site Inspection/Evaluation Meetings. Critically analyze the project controls parameters such as schedules, estimates, payments, associated with the different project types in the client portfolio and incept measures and metrics which are further used to come up with common and comparable KPI for the different project types within the portfolio. Attend meetings and document information being provided during these meeting with different stakeholder as this is used in providing the client with a historical summary of the ongoing projects and their current progress status.
