This role combines project leadership with championing our transition to
OpenRoadstechnology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Spearhead geometric design production on assigned projects
• Serve as OpenRoads Lead, overseeing implementation and training
• Lead design teams on major projects and work independently on medium-scale initiatives
• Provide client-facing support and develop solutions with the engineering team
• Review design output of road designers within project teams
• Contribute to design production using OpenRoads
• Troubleshoot designs and foster a learning culture for team upskilling
• Guide junior designers and remote staff in OpenRoads application and design standards
• Interface with Design Managers, Project Engineers, and offshore Global Integrated Delivery (GID) teams
• Participate in team, project, and client meetings
• Support sales efforts through tender and proposal contributions

This role is a recognised technical specialist in the application of advanced theory and concepts of Digital Engineering. You will adopt ISO19650 workflows and practices to work collaboratively with other disciplines, taking responsibility for coordinating the development of design deliverables to agreed quality, time, and budget.

Working under the direction of the Digital Engineering Lead, you will work closely with project managers, design managers, and discipline BIM leads, and inspire them to strive for innovation while maintaining outstanding digital delivery.

Coordination of Global Integrated Delivery teams will be a key part of your role. An objective will be to train and develop teams to become proficient in the digital standards and requirements for delivering projects.

Key skills include:

• Demonstrated understanding of ISO19650 standards and process.

• Ability to self-manage and prioritise tasks to ensure delivery of project deliverables within budget, program, and quality constraints.

• Advanced knowledge of a range of modelling applications and CAD skills, with strong knowledge of data transfer between key software packages

• Experienced in the management of Common Data Environments

• Experience in a variety of projects – across a range of disciplines, with extensive experience in a specific discipline.

• Decision making – identifies issues, problems and opportunities & chooses appropriate action.

• Maintain high work standards, minimise errors and attention to detail.

• Work co-operatively and respect others’ opinions to achieve team objectives.

• Ability to perform steadily during peak workload and remain calm under pressure.

• Familiar with automating repetitive activities, coding bespoke processes will be an advantage.

this summer. In this role, you will work as part of a Project Team, assisting other engineers to complete the design for electrical assets for sewer, water and treatment plant infrastructure. You will collect a broad range of experience, through involvement in different stages of a project lifecycle from options assessment, concept design, functional design, detailed design through to construction and the operations and maintenance phase. Tasks include performing design calculations, preparing and reviewing engineering drawings, material take-offs, attending meetings and attending site visits. You'll work alongside our Senior Consultants providing meaningful input on across our Water Infrastructure team – and we’ll mentor you each step of the way to ensure you’re set up for success.

About the Role:

• Support project teams in the successful delivery of renewable energy initiatives.
• Collaborate with regional teams to deliver detailed electrical design for utility-scale renewable energy projects (solar, wind, and BESS).
• Support renewable energy development processes, including technical design and due diligence, with guidance from senior team members.
• Contribute to bids, proposals, and client engagement activities.
• Conduct site inspections and report on quality and progress.
